i saved about $850 so around 60% just switching insurance.
unless you get a really good agent somehow thereās no reason to stay with the same insurance once they start hiking rates, someone will cut you a better deal, so donāt stay faithful.
I had been wondering this, too. I was shocked to learn that my 2023 JLU Rubicon with all the bells and whistles cost less to insure than the 2016 Toyota 4Runner it replaced.
For my wife and I, our Wrangler is and has been the most expensive to insure out of all of our vehicles. It's not A LOT more expensive, but enough to notice.
I'm always blown away to learn what some people pay in insurance in these threads. I guess being old and slow and having only 1 claim in the last two decades (not counting a ton of windshields that is) really makes a difference.
Wife has a Honda CRV and it's about 30% more to insure. The big difference is the collision portion. All that plastic and sensors are expensive to replace.
Our Auto policy stayed the same for 2024 but our home policy went up 46%. By changing insurance companies, I can get my home way back down but not without bundling the Auto. All of the Auto quotes have been 50% higher than what I am paying now so I think I am screwed no matter what I do. Our Auto on a 2024 Wrangle X and 2023 Wrangler 392 is now going to be $3,264 which is almost as much as the 365k home policy.
Back in the days, people always said 4x4s cost more to insure. As well as āsports carsā that have no back seat. ie 911 has a small back seat for insurance purposes lol. Which cant be the case any longer as corvettes are often cheaper to insure than mustangs
Just got my 6 months bill for my jeep, No more pro rata rates involving my previous vehicle
