Are we sure that this clutch is going to solve the problem?
I decided against getting a new Jeep considering the corrosion issues.
Since I already have the Jeep it’s tempting to fix with centerfirce but my fear is something happening with it.
Yes it’s perfect now, install it and don’t worry about it every again

Have you acquired the clutch kit already? If so from where? I called CF directly, talked to a super nice guy, said they are hoping to restock by end of September. I told him his company is going to make bank off all of us JL owners! He's aware of the issue of course, probably why they are on their 3rd and hopefully perfect iteration of the CF 2 for the JL, they are gonna sell a lot more than usual I can assume...Newest version comes with new hydraulic hoses and such so addresses that area as well, just make sure if its you or a shop installing, bleed it perfect...

I spoke to centerforce directly and will likely buy from them if I decide to do it. Truthfully I’m so annoyed between this and the corrosion crap I’m ready to sell it and buy a Mazda. Not nearly as much fun but safe and reliable.

Yeah they shouldn't have cheaped out on the clutch, its been around for well over 100 years, KISS principle! Not something that should be messed up. I had hinge bubbling on my white 2018, but so far nothing on my 2021 Sarge...???

So August 1st my SECOND clutch finally gave up it's ghost. After nearly 40 years of driving wranglers with manual transmissions, in four separate models, the new version I can say I have some experience.

Anyway, I've been limping around on a bad clutch for a while. I ordered a CF kit back in May. Then I came back to these forums only to find out about the shipping/supply issues.

So they towed my Jeep away on the second. I was scheduled to have a stock clutch installed on the 15th.

I cancelled my order that day. Guess what arrived a few days later, drop shipped from Centerforce?

I'm still waiting for them to install it... So much biking to get around.

I received a few quotes to install the CF clutch.
$700-980 in labor alone. I expected worse

I am a little surprised at those quotes as well. Seem too good to be true. Obviously costs vary by region but that seems affordable to me given that it is supposed to be a full day's worth of labor to drop transmission, remove old clutch install new CF clutch and bleed all lines.

Well only thing in life guaranteed is death and taxes, but at the very least the CF clutch won't detonate and threaten the safety of my kids, thats my biggest concern. Bonus will be a superior stout clutch that functions as it should! And from what I hear the 18lb flywheel makes it feel like you have more torque off the line which would be nice...again it isn't the clutch failing that most of us are concerned about, its the spectacular fashion in which it does that's of paramount concern...
It's not the stock flywheel that grenades and causes issues, it's the pressure plate. CF doesn't re-use any of the stock items from what I can tell which is why you need their propriety flywheel. It could be off of another factory offering for all I know. It looks more like a traditional flywheel.

Nevermind, the CF flywheel looks aftermarket, not a crossover part from an OEM.

Did it come with new Master and Slave cylinders? I know that the factory Master cylinder uses the brake reservoir... I wonder if the Centerforce kit does something different.

Cheaped out? I guarantee the clutch they used is way more expensive than most. It works great for all but a minuscule percentage. Kind of like every other part on a vehicle.
