Not trying to remove Cats that is pretty close to impossible on the 3.6. After my head gasket went and dumped all the water through engine and out exhaust should the cats still be good? They are $$$ and don't really want to do that. I am going to change O2 sensors regardless it would get a random upstream on Cold for Texas 50 deg nights and they have 160K ish miles.

While I am at it anyone have experience with getting transmission flushed. I have heard leave it alone and yes do it so seeing if any pros and cons.

Removing the cats on a 3.6L is not difficult .....remove your front fender liners first.

AFE Power had cat delete (off-road) only head pipes at one time......maybe you could locate a set.

Cats are fine until you have a code saying otherwise. Water is the byproduct of combustion and they are constantly exposed to water. A blown headgakset wouldn't cause cat damage unless the misfires were ignored to the point of unburnt fuel melting it, at which point you'd get a code for p420 or p430

Change it. I waited til 150Kmi and it was like sludge. Did a second flush at 160K, knowing the first change didn't get all the original out.

Yeah, I'm convinced the "lifetime fill" is bogus marketing. Every other manufacturer recommends 50k. I'm changing mine then or before.
