Does anyone else find it annoying that all trims dont come with the cargo Gap Hider? Getting old shoving a blanket in there every time I take my Doberman with me so she doesnt brake her leg in there. I haven't seen any real aftermarket solutions either.. and the OEM bracket and cover are surprisingly expensive. Wonder if I could go to a junk yard and pull one out of a wrecked jeep.

yup.

but it was one of the first things i added, since i didn't want my dog(s) stumbling around back there.
ordering one (even ignoring the pricing) was a PITA, since there is a strange collection of hardware required to install it that didn't seem to be part of any kit.

I had a link for the parts kit for the gap that was around $200 IIRC, but I can’t find it. It was a Mopar part number…

Trying to order the original parts would have been over $400

Isn't it a bracket that fits over the seat studs? I saw a cargo mat kit that comes with a gap hider.. and it had a bracket that fit over the seat studs and you torqued it down with the seat stud nuts.. then the gap hider snapped into it.. not sure if that's now it works with the mopar kit

yeah, i ordered this quite a few years ago. you could order the trench cover in parts or, i believe as a kit that included a rear cargo mat and i even think it was cheaper that way. anyway, i installed, which was very simple and love it. would do again. and yes, twisted patriot is correct in the installation process. ridiculous that the wrangler doesn’t come with something like that - especially the sahara if they want to consider that a higher trim.

it's been a long while since i did mine, but i remember more than one bracket and a handful of other little pieces.
i did not do the cargo mat option; did not want that mat, and had other plans.
