so what you’re saying is that you’re a disrespectful, ignorant prick. And I do not know what part of the country you live in, but I have never seen anyone executing jack-ass behavior in school zones as you describe. I have lived in Louisiana, Texas and Israel, and every community I have ever been a part of has always been perfectly respectful in school zones. Sucks to be you and the hateful community you live in.
In my experience these are most likely Dodge RAM driver's

In this college town the students are insanely self absorbed and many take much longer to cross the street than necessary. I just remember when I was a student and we didn't have a push button that would cause every light in the vacinity to flash advising traffic you wanted to cross, we actually crossed with a purpose so as not to imposition others. They DGAF today and take their time no matter how long it takes. Not all of them, mind you but enough. Many kids today need a lesson in respect for others as they aren't the only people who matter. It's just a matter of courtesy. I don't mind stopping for you, but please also give me the respect of not taking your time to do so.

It's not only college towns from my experience

Since I moved to Canada decades ago, there has been a constant campaign the pedestrian is always right, and do as they please, that might be the main reason people don't pay attention where they are walking.

If only there was some horn-based technology that Jeep could incorporate in the vehicle…some sort of alert that would let other people know the vehicle was there…and conveniently placed in the steering wheel just a casual press away…

Alas, we don’t live in such a world.

Uuh, pedestrians having the right of way is pretty much a worldwide thing. Road raging at them is a "you" problem, not a "them" problem. Driving is a privilege. Not a right.

Pedestrians do not have the right to walk blindly into traffic anywhere in the world.

Pedestrians are supposed to obey the rules as well, the worst are the supposed smart and educated in the banking district, almost none of them follow the pedestrian signals, and since it's so many of them like cattle, they block traffic completely ignoring the vehicle has the green light.

But adults can fend for themselves and fist fight each other when things go south, my issue is the people in school zones.

The biggest problem is the government does a very poor job at educating all road users.

Yesterday I saw a cyclist completely blocking a turning lane for no reason(this is a common thing with the MAMILs), he should have been in the bicycle lane which would allow him to ride straight through when the light goes green, but purposely choose to be in the turning lane to block vehicles, and by blocking vehicles, there are also other cyclists like me waiting behind the vehicles to turn.

Pedestrians and cyclists that completely ignore the rules of the road, put other pedestrians and cyclists at risk.

Back on topic…. You can rev the engine a bit by basically brake-torquing the Jeep in D.
So if you wanna rev it while at stop, just put your foot on the gas while keeping your brake pressed, then it’ll rev up to around 3000 rpm.
