The sales guy never got back to me with their out of the door price offer as promised. And I am not paying $3k for the paint protection, that's for sure. A coworker had ceramic wrap of his Audi S8 for less. The 109 miles and muddy appearance worry me: the car was likely through more than just around the block test drives. Had they revved the engine contrary the break-in guidance to get out of some ditch? If anything, oil needs to be changed as it was built in 12/22. Battery checked/replaced. To be on a safe side diff and transmission fluids changed. And so on...
Find out who the GM is and deal with him/her directly. Make your offer $25K and to email over a deal sheet reflecting that and if solid you'll sign and give deposit. Otherwise laugh at them and say good luck and good bye

When I sold cars and it got Stupid, I raised the price so be careful.. The GM is Not going to like being bothered for a zero profit deal and the sales manager is going to be pissed you went above his head for a zero profit deal. You know its a smoking deal already just buy it and enjoy it or get a Job where you get to negotiate to offset the urge.
Sales managers get 100's of emails a day. If you want it respect them and walk into the dealership with a legitimate offer, ready to buy.

CALL....then once you have a deal have them email over the P&S Agreement for you to review and if all good, throw them a deposit to lock the deal down and make arrangements to pick up.

Fun ones!
The manager probably took it home for the weekend. Sorry, but if mud on a Jeep bothers you then maybe a Jeep isn't the right vehicle?

It probably makes sense to have the oil changed. You get three(?) free. As @ArcadeTracks said: the battery and everything else is under warranty, so none of that should be a concern.
Yes, everyone should feel great about buying a brand new vehicle that has been trashed around. Why not give it a couple dents and scratches. It’s a Jeep thing ?

Don't call and don't email. They will ignore the email and make fun of you while you're on the phone. As far as floor plan goes, not all dealers have those. We have over 500 cars new and used here, and not a one of them is floored. The deal on the Jeep is really good. It only has about $2,500-$3,000 mark up from net net to MSRP. You can offer 25% off, but I doubt they take it. A cash, no trade deal is nothing special to them. That is a 0 profit deal. Don't tell them how you are going to pay even if they ask. Say you are deciding which way to go. If you have to finance to get a little better deal, do that and pay it off when you get your first payment. You'll only about $50-$100 or so in interest. Do what you want, but I doubt the deal gets much better than it is.

The best part of this thread is to read how some people say they buy cars, and they think they are the coolest car buyer in the world, lol. "Write a check for what you want to pay", "I don't give them any info", "Salesman are stupid", "If they want to sell it bad enough they will take your offer". This shit is so funny, cause I deal with people like that every day. It's the ones who make these comments that I usually make the most money off of. If they don't buy, after they leave cause we wouldn't take the dumbass offer we just make fun of them , and sell the car to someone else. There is an ass for every seat, as the saying goes.

25 years of dealing with that bs way of thinking has made it easy for me to make money. Think I'll go to Walmart tonight, and fill up my cart then I'll get the manager, I'll write him a check for what I think the groceries are worth, and if he doesn't take it then I'm walking out without them, lol.

A technique a buddy of mine uses is to walk in and drop a cheque in the amount you want to pay on the sales managers desk. At that point the sales manager knows you’re serious and has to do next to no work for the sale.
My buddies had great success with that method.
I find it hilarious all of the people who think cash gets them a better deal. A qualified borrower will often do better because credit unions, banks, and lending fintech pay car dealers between 2% and 2.5% for the paper (loans) they originate on car sales. Dealers much prefer borrowers.

I probably should take it: at $595 the NitroAdvantage is the bargain.

I'm sorry but I am just going to say it, that whole price is crap with all the extra fees and add on stuff, no way I would stand for that! I mean seriously, $299 for wheel locks alone pisses me off, the part is 82215711AA and lists for $101 and they want $299, give me a break! And what in hell is finishing touch complete for another $895, they gonna wash it for you, well duh, that is always expected on a new vehicle. I could go on and on but I would never pay for those crap fees, just my opinion!

Being a manual, and having no options is why that JL is sitting. Few say that is the best way to go but most do not. Can't hurt to ask for 25% off, all they can say is no.
Yeah, mine is a manual, 2 door, soft top only, crank windows, manual door locks.
I wouldn't have it any other way, but I'm also WELL aware that this is not how most people exist.

Check the spreadsheet in my sig before committing. The delta between that '23 and a custom-ordered '24 might not be as significant as you'd expect.

Also make sure to test drive it and an automatic. Don't simply assume (like I foolishly did) that a manual would be more performant.
I'd agree with John on this one, a lotta manual loving folks, HATE the JL manual.

That said, at such a low undermarket cost, you could just throw an improved clutch in it anyway and still be under MSRP :movember:

I've heard salesguys talking (and it seems to track with deals I've seen) saying they hate cash buyers because they get a better profit from financing. (I guess instant sale with low commission isn't attractive.)
I had a friend do much like your buddy, and sent out emails to all the dealerships within a certain distance with wanted specs, and price. Not one reply. Could also be the email thing. Ended up getting one with close to the specs at slightly below the price, but I don't remember the details -- wasn't my vehicle.
