Can my dealer order without allocation?

I have seen discussion on this but am not certain how this works- if my dealer does not have an allocation and puts a 392 order in, will it be fulfilled? They are saying 8-10 weeks and they will have it if ordered now. They say it would be a 2021 model- is that accurate? I just dont want to put down $1k then be waiting 6 months from now for a jeep that wont be built due to allocation issues! Thanks in advance for any clarity provided.

Mine was a non allocated order. It arrived before 2 of their allocated orders. For awhile only orders with customer names were being built. It was 100 days from order to dealer.

Yes FCA took my non allocation order from Chapman in philly. I’m not sure if I’m D1 but I got an email saying 11/6 delivery. I have another on order from a different dealer that doesn’t require allocations irrespective as a backup, but it’s close to sticker.

Ok, good to know. Did you get pricing below msrp from Chapman? Best I have found is at msrp.

So another dealer has an unsold allocation, order put in 6/28, and has build sheet. It fairly closely matches what I want except has sky one touch which i am not sure about. If they have a build sheet is this a guarantee of delivery?

Yes. A build sheet means your vehicle was already build, once kz it will gets window sticker.

I was in a similar situation, decided to get exactly what I wanted (without one-touch) rather than another similar 392 that was available, since I'm spending $80K. Ordered without an allocation from Courtesy Jeep Superstition Springs in Mesa AZ on 6/3. Should be built this week if my intel is correct.

I like the sky one touch, I was on the fence when I orderd mine. Like supermike said, if It has a build sheet it already exist.

Thanks for this feedback, I have heard lots of folks like them. I wonder, can you change to a traditional hardtop from sky one touch if you wanted after the fact?

Yes you can it’s removable. Not meant to be easily removed but doable, someone on YouTube has a video showing how to remove the sky one touch roof. And since you are going without it, you can just leave the switch there, much easier than adding it .

yes quite a bit under sticker. $11k off on $87k build.
