With a topless/naked (two door) Wrangler, is it okay to sit on the crossbar? I guess it's technically not a rollbar, so it's not designed to hold the weight of the whole vehicle. (Right?)
I know you probably can, but will it cause damage?
Like this, but maybe a bit less creepy, because I'm seeing a space clown...

I imagine that is directly connected to your body weight.

I've done it at 215 lbs but if you're one of those people that has a show on TLC, probably not.
If you're one of the people from TLC, you're not fitting in the Jeep, and you're definitly not climbing up to the crossbar.

And yes, what is that yellow thing?

I think if it was unsafe to sit on it, it wouldn't be much good protecting you in a rollover.

F=MA Mass(Jeep = ~5000 lbs) x Acceleration (let's assume 20 MPH) = a lot more than you and a friend sitting on the cross bar. :)

Oh! The extra appendages look to be the result of movement during a long exposure for night photography. I didn't dare zoom in myself. ::shudder:: You are brave.

It's fine. Sometimes I'll sit on mine when I'm watching my kid's soccer game. Maybe have a little music playing. I'm about 220

Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. In typing that, I would think if it was an issue there would be a big ass warning sticker on it. Like don’t eat Tide Pods, don’t sit your big ass on the cross bar. ✌?
