Can I sit on the crossbar?

With a topless/naked (two door) Wrangler, is it okay to sit on the crossbar? I guess it's technically not a rollbar, so it's not designed to hold the weight of the whole vehicle. (Right?)
I know you probably can, but will it cause damage?
Like this, but maybe a bit less creepy, because I'm seeing a space clown...

If a rollover did that little damage to the upper bars I bet even a 300# person is safe to sit on the bar.

I think if it was unsafe to sit on it, it wouldn't be much good protecting you in a rollover.

F=MA Mass(Jeep = ~5000 lbs) x Acceleration (let's assume 20 MPH) = a lot more than you and a friend sitting on the cross bar.

Oh! The extra appendages look to be the result of movement during a long exposure for night photography. I didn't dare zoom in myself. ::shudder:: You are brave.

Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. In typing that, I would think if it was an issue there would be a big ass warning sticker on it. Like don’t eat Tide Pods, don’t sit your big ass on the cross bar. ?
