p.s. Motors/compressors tend to have very high initial starting current spikes that could damage the converter.

Still think... you know!

As a guess, assuming the wires in your diagram are going to the compressor, and assuming the smaller wire is for control circuits so not a heavy load, then you could try connecting BLK-WHT to ground, BLK to the positive terminal of your 12 V battery, and RED to the 24 V output of your converter. Then pray nothing gets grounded or shorted along the way. Read the instructions carefully; you may need to isolate the compressor.

If it is an ARB compressor, why not ask them?

Still think getting the correct compressor will save you grief.
It looks like the only 12V connections are the pressure switch, relay, and switch. May be able to confirm ratings and swap (if necessary) for 24V rated devices.

There is the potential that you could run two of the smaller converters in parallel, I'm not thinking of a reason it wouldn't work.

These are fairly simple devices, but not sure I'd hook them to a $600 compressor. I have a 48-12 step down in my golf cart for the audio system from the same factory in China, not super confidence inspiring quality.

Why would you have ever gone in this direction to start with?
Why add more components and complexity for such an otherwise simple straightforward installation?

Maybe I'm missing something here... 🤔

Looking into the details of the compressor versions I noticed that the 12v and 24v versions have Relays and fans that are specific to the voltage... as noted by note number 4 in the first page of this document:

That means you need to get (from image above):
10(a) Compressor Assembly (12V) Part number: CKM01
20(a) Cover Assembly, CKMTP12 Part number: 320109

I found the Compressor assembly for sale... but not the
Cover Assembly... I guess one option is to disassemble it
and replace the relays and fan with 12v versions

Good catch. The footnote has the relay and fan part numbers in it. Looks like the relay is pretty common online.

The bad news is that item 10 is only ONE of the two motors. Per ARB's email I need x2.

My bargain 24v compressor is no longer a bargain :(

Be cheaper to just order the Rough County clone and swap the compressors in.

Or run the RC one and sell the ARB if you can’t return it.

It was a black Friday deal. I selected the 24v by mistake and didn’t realized it until it was too late to return. User error.
