Can’t decide if I should put 295/70R18 on my stock wheels or buy new wheels and go with 35x12.5R18. Much of a visual difference? Thoughts?

Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Anyone have side by side differences of these tire sizes?

I just posted on another thread about the ridge grapplers, funny I just saw your post. Of all the different tires I ran on my vehicles (Goodyear MTR and Duratracs, General Grabber AT2, Fierce/jelly MT’s) these were my least favorite. Was somehow a little harder to balance off the bat, a bit heavier for what I consider an AT tire, a bit noisier than most other tires I have ran, and pricy - also after the 13k miles I put on them they lost 5-6/32 tread

though I have not ran them, I am happy to see the reviews on the Milestars. Duratracs all the way if you are okay with what will be a 34.5” height on a stock rim vs. a 35”.

Can't help with pics, but I'd suggest going with 17's if you change out wheels. More tire choices for that wheel size and I've heard they can cost a bit less. Also, try to stick with a C-rated tire. D's and especially E's will be quite jarring for a daily driver.

Back to your original question - the 295 is is likely slightly taller, and narrower, right? What you'll find with that is that the Jeep handles slightly better on road.

I ran 295's on my JKU. They were ridge grapplers. Heavy tire, but I loved them. Nothing but great things to say.

This time, I'm a 35/12.50 Milestar Patagonia's on my JLU. They seem to be fine so far. I just got them, so can't say much.

The 12.50 will likely do a bit better if you air down and off road alot. And the 12.50 will be easier to find if you need a fast replacement.
