This topic was an offshoot of my water storage spigot question from a different thread so I thought I'd start a thread over here.

It seems water distribution seems to be an opinionated topic. What's everyone using for camp showers? I've been looking at getting just a cheap shower bag off Amazon but found some DIY options was well as some super expensive options like the Yakima RoadShower.

Waterport, had it for a few years and love it. If I lived in a colder climate I would get something that heats but I mount the Waterport on my roof rack and the sun heats the black tank just fine.

I just find a creek, river, pond, lake there is always wet somewhere.

So here I am and I managed to wrestle the Olliegator into submission.

Just to let you know I am not kidding..I broke ICE and took a bath in a river...I do it every day I am out I will find a wet spot and get clean...its a Vietnam thing, you would not understand, but going months without a bath was normal...

We have a bit of a lack of water here in CA. I do a lot of desert camping so no water in sight. I may start off with one of those shower bags and see how it works before upgrading to something fancier.

That's why I go for body wipes. It UT you could easily be 100 mi from the nearest water. That water is often the appropriately named Muddy Creek. It's undrinkable straight and it will immediately clog a water filter. If you bathe in it you'll likely come out dirtier than when you went in.

So every drop of potable water must be reserved for consumption. Bathing is too much of a luxury.

As someone who lives and camps in AZ, I could not agree more.

Heating up a small pot of water and using a washcloth goes a long way and is a nice compromise IMO. Don't have to carry any extra expensive stuff that takes up additional space. Seems many are trying to turn their Jeep into a luxury RV as YouTube influencers do their thing.

Looks like I'm in the minority here. If I had the means to buy a fancy shower to mount on the Jeep I'd do that in a heartbeat. 🤷‍♀️

This thing works like a champion. I bought the wife one with heater, but without works just fine with water warmed in the sub or on a stove.

The other plus is if you order a second scrubber, you can use it for pots, plates, etc. and without the scrubber you have a pressurized spray for feet, dogs, what have ya'.

Edit… if you are camping for 3+ days more than a couple times a year, then I could see ‘investing’ in a heated shower setup. Otherwise I don’t see the value.
