Just ordered the Rockhard complete bellypan system only to realize they do not include a fuel filter access panel. So my question is how much work is involved in getting access to it without having a PITA situation?

I don’t have the Rockhard system but judging by the pictures they have it’s going to require the entire trans/transfer skid to be taken off.

It looks like they use the same fasteners as my Artec skid (counter sunk hex bolts). If one of those take damage it might be a real pain getting it out.

Even with zero damaged fasteners, you’d want to check to ensure they all stayed tight at least once after putting it back together.

It won’t be as painful as stepping on a Lego bare footed, but it’s solidly in the chewed up nyla-bone range.

I’ve emailed them directly (waiting for a response). I can’t believe I ordered these without 100% confirmation, for some reason I was sure they had an access panel. This is without a doubt a huge engineering oversight on their part if this is the case. Now a 10 minute regular maintenance is going to turn into an hour of cussing.

yeah I don't want to rub salt on the wound but an access hatch and relocating the fuel filter up were top priorities for me.

It looks like they have redesigned it to have an access panel according to their Instagram posts. Still waiting for official confirmation though. Fingers crossed
