Thanks for reminding me to order the DEF skid! It’s 20% off @Northridge4x4 today! Artec FTW!

I did consider Artec, that is until I saw the price when combined with the DEF skid, although I think I prefer it to MetalCloaks offering. Plus it is currently on Backorder from the looks of it.
As of this moment there are a few on back order but We will have them ready to ship as soon as we get some parts back from our zinc plater in a few weeks.

I ordered the @Artec skids from @Northridge4x4 just last week. They showed up today already! The boxes were in good condition and everything seems to be packaged well.

There was also a couple of neat surprises included. A fold together Jeep with machine gun:

AND this JL ornament hauling a Christmas tree:

After my wife and I finished the mountain piece we were talking about how it would be neat if we had a little Jeep to put in it similar to the one in the windshield.

Super cool Artec! Well done!

PS - my wife asked if you could make a folding one the size of a shoebox ;)

I'm debating not only skids, but also inner fenders. I'm not concerned how the skids look over time, but I am the inner fenders. Is it best practice to run these unfinished, or are we expected to take them to a shop and get them powder coated for a durable finish?

On some of our builds We have left the inner liners Raw, On others We have Powder coated them. Powder coating and Raw hold up to debris getting kicked off of tires . We have seen painted ones look like they get peppered by birdshot after 6 months. As far as upkeep is concerned for them raw just hit them with some metal polish every few months.
