I have a JK with block heater, never used, and the cord is on the driver side of the 3.6 motor. Which side is the JL 3.0 block heater cord located?
The heater cord on the 3.0L diesel is located on the front right side of the engine compartment, just forward of the underhood electrical center.

I used a surge with timer set for 4 hours before work to warm up my 6.0 Ford. Ford was a beast to start in the cold. I would set it to shut off by the time I got in it to leave. Low cost on electric.
My 2014 EcoDiesel or my 2020 EcoDiesel doesnā€™t seem to care about those +24 to 0 degree. Never been under that. What I will also share is, make sure you have cold weather windshield wiper fluid for those temps because it split my tank and wasted the pump motor on the 2014, to the tune of $150. I think having the block heater plugged in at night also keeps the engine compartment warmer.

Itā€™ll start, but plug it in. Itā€™s there for reason. Never understood people who donā€™t plug their vehicles in. Donā€™t plug it in then start it in the cold and idle it for 10 minutes smh
