Do think Mid. I didn't want a full-width because I want to show off my tires. I didn't want stubby because that's too radical for me. The mid is a happy medium and best of both worlds.

Plus, here's something else to think about... the Full and Stubby have a steel beam across the front where the LOD logo is which obscures the winch. The Mid doesn't have that which shows off the winch while still being recessed. I paid good money for the Warn, dammit.. I want people to see the logo!

I was torn between the mid & full. I had Goldilocks syndrome & I think the mid is juuuuust right, but I went with full because I like the way the angled ends meet and align with the fenders when I look at the front. I'm with @butcho on the stubby...not my thang. I also agree that the mid is happy place. I popped off the LoD logo (not a fan of advertising). Regardless, I don't think you can go wrong with either, but the winch would appear to be the deal-breaker. If you settle on an LoD, have fun with the packaging!

@butcho @WranglerAz @melendez69 - I think I’m sold on LOD signature. Just cant decide stubby, mid or full. I’m thinking mid. I like the looks, how it mounts the winch, and it checks the box for RV flat tow.

You won’t regret it, there is a reason you have to wait for their products. I went full because I don’t plan on anything larger than 35s - plus it reminds me to remember that I have to drive it to work on Monday when trail riding on the weekends LOL

I went with the Warn Elite front bumper and the Warn Zeon winch because I love the brand and the tucked in look. I added a Warn front skid plate below the front bumper as well. fit and finish are nice. it was an easy install. the instructions aren't the greatest, but who uses instructions? you do have to trim the inner edges of the frames bumper mounts to make sure the winch fits nicely. I opted for the bumper without the extra cross tube because I knew I wanted to mount my lights directly to the bumper. I'm extremely please with the look and the fit. couldn't be happier

hey all I went with the JCR crusader and I love the thing great clearance and I think it has a great look only thing I dislike is that you cannot maintain the factory fog lights I'm currently at work so I have no photos but here is a youtube video I made of the install

I literally rolled through your video really fast....new cable should be winched in under a load....not simply held with hand tension. In other words, hook the cable to a parked truck, telephone pole, whatever....set the ebrake on the Jeep a few clicks, put it in neutral and real it in under tension while standing in front of it to spool it evenly onto the drum using your hip/bodyweight to force the rope onto the drum evenly.

you are 100% right beginning of the video i states that winch used to be on my JK and was spooled properly when i bought the winch over a year ago thanks for making sure i did it right though im sure someone has done that before!

So on my 16’JKUR I mounted a Baricade Trail Force HD bumper up front and a Body Armor Rear Bumper (see pics below). Both were under $300 each and although they where affordable they did performed well. They were heavy and I had to add spacers to my lift kit in the front to eliminate sagehi h would’ve my biggest complaint. It was kind of nice having steel bumpers that I didn’t really care about because I could bang them off a boulder and just touch them up with bed liner paint. Fast forward to 2019 and my JLUR just happened to come with steel bumpers. The rear is crap but the front actually appeals to me. I pulled off the end caps, added a winch plate, and added a bull bar. I like that it’s lightweight. In the end I’ll be adding warm recovery points with integral high lift mount points and roll with the set up. My only complaint is the cost. All in with the winch plate, bull bar, and recovery points I’ll be in for $550 over the initial upgrade cost on a stock bumper...ouch. Waiting for someone to integrate a license plate holder on a rear bumper before upgrading.
