Bro you knocked it out the park with the LoD suggestion. That’s what I had in my head but couldn’t find. Also the rubi bumper is good suggestion. That LoD rear bumper is sick, I think it would look good with the rubi front bumper! Thanks for your input. You think unpainted or factory textured? I might go unpainted for the rear and color matched to OEM Metal rubi. I like the freedom of having them painted. Might be more trouble than it’s worth though.
I have LOD destroyer hardware front, back and sides. I really like the product. I don’t have need for a HD spare carrier but wish I had ordered the rear with the setup for when I inevitably change my mind. Also, their coating is OK, but I highly recommend getting it coated locally by one of the quality bedliner vendors.

Just curious why you insist on a rear bumper with a tire carrier. If it is because of your heavy tires, I got the XR package with my 2022 Rubi and it has the beefed up tire carrier on the rear door. It is stout I must say. I have the factory step bumpers and love them. FWIW.

I had thoughts of going with a DV8 rear bumper, but once I started reading up on them in this forum, and elsewhere online, I was rather quickly dissuaded from that idea.
Me too. Two things made me not buy one even though I liked the looks of them:
- They weren’t designed for the JL, an extra bracket was required to be purchased for the bolts to line up. For the price they should be vehicle specific.
- They rust. I had to do a double take on the one I wanted that was on someone’s Jeep. The salt air /water made it look like an old commercial scallop boat. A little rust is expected at scratches and rock chips, but that looked like corners were cut on the powder coat process.

I love my ARB stubby, but their rear bumper for the JL looks hideous, like it was designed for something else and they just said "eh, we can make it fit" ?

The XR optioned tire carrier does not address the stress points at the hinges, only the flex on the gate. Once you get into heavier wheel/tire combos you will need to do something about the weight on the hinges by either removing it to a bumper mounted version or beefing up the hinges.

I have 37” Baja Boss with the Black Rhino Armory wheels. Both are very heavy. My plan with this Jeep is to take my wife on a tour of trails across America in a couple years, once a few key upgrades are done. I want that tire off my gate to avoid damage to the gate, just an extra precaution.

Just installed my FabFours stubby. Found it on sale though Morris4x4 for under $400 bare metal. 2 coats of roll on Herculiner that I let cure for almost 2 weeks, and couldn’t be happier. Just waiting on the winch to arrive.

I put a set of Motobilt crusher series bumpers on my wifes JLUR. You'll have to get them painted or powder coated, and the rear doens't meet your criteria for a swing out carrier but the Motobilt tire carrier replaces the hinges (where most people find the weak link in the OEM setup). Very well built and didn't require any finagling of the holes to get them to line up. I did sand/grind the D ring mounts to knock the sharp edges off. I put a Zeon 10S up front and keep it nice and tidy. The shop that I ordered mine from ordered them on a Friday, they showed up the following Wednesday.

My best friend has a Gladiator JT with GenRight aluminum bumpers that fit equally as well.
