I’m not a million, AEV is out even though I love both front and rear bumpers. After you add everything you would want on to the AEV bumper it’s like 3,500 or more… for just the front! I’ve been eyeballing the ARB bumpers pretty hard but this is my issue. I want a rear bumper with tire carrier and, as far as I can tell, ARB doesn’t have one for the JL. I also want the front and rear bumper to match in design detail. I’m open to suggestion, like everyone else I want quality, something that looks good with the rubicon, and I don’t want to empty my savings. 3k is my budget for both front and rear bumper combined. Any good recommendations would be most appreciated.

I like the Roam innovator, Rugged Ridge Arcus and venator bumpers. I honestly like the OEM ones too. It’s all personal preference really.

Thanks for the response, you suggested options I’ve never even seen! I guess maybe the advice I’m seeking is, what should I stay away from? I know Amazon bumpers are a no go but are dv8, rough country, warn, fab4, and others like them okay quality wise? I can find a bumper I like in damn near every brand and that’s part of the problem. For example Dv8 seems like a good bang for your buck. I’m new to having my finger on the jeep community pulse and would love to hear what others have heard or experienced with the common brands.

Up to you! Try looking at the extreme terrain website reviews for the bumpers you’re interested in. They usually have more review pictures than other sites. I can say I have had bad experience with dv8 products in the past. Heard great things about Warn. No idea about RC or Fab4.

Dont buy DV8 their rear bumper will mess with your rear body same as the stock steel rubi.

For front I would recommend LoD. I have the rugged ridge arcus and I like it, but if I were to get a new bumper I would get the LoD stubby. The stock rubi steel bumper is also a good choice and you might be able to find a used one for about $500.

For the rear I can't recommend anything. Definitely not the stock rubi or DV8.

How clean an finished looking do you want it?

After looking around some, the Metalcloak bumpers are getting my attention for simplicity, clean look and a nice level of finish.

I have the Arcus front, it was kind of a pita to install. I am thinking I will run the Metal Cloak full width rear, it brings the trailer plug up. MetalCloak also has some nice front bumpers. Good luck, there’s a lot of choices out there!

Some bumpers are built more like fabricated parts, they look good as is if you want that ruggedness. You can grind, sand prime and paint them for a smoother look. Some, like CavFab, come unfinished, so that you can do all of that, or add to it on your own.

Rugged Ridge bumpers look very factory, stamped metal, vs cut and weld. The only thing I don't like about RR is that there is no rear bumper, as far as I know, that wraps around the tub and covers the pinch weld. There is a company, can't think of the name right off hand, that makes a thick gauge metal cover fo the pinch weld that wraps that rear corner. That looks like it would probably make a bumper that doesn't wrap around look a lot better.

Fishbone Mako front and rear. Great build quality, coating has already made it through one winter with no issues. Only issue was the aluminium badges they put on are aluminium and they drip white shit. Took them off and painted them.

I’m thinking clean finish, stamped without a bunch of nonsense. Maybe a good looking aluminum skid plate too. I’m wanting a rear bumper with a tire carrier, that’s been my kryptonite on everything. I find the perfect front bumper but I can’t find a matching rear with a tire carrier, unless I go something cheap. I’m going straight to check out metal cloak, thanks bro.

You’re the second person to suggest looking at those. I’ll check it out, thank you!
