I have tried searching with no luck, but I am interested in seeing how people are mounting cube lights on the stock plastic front bumper. I know there is a bracket available, however I don’t want to drill into the frame as I believe it requires. My other option of course is the cowl mounted ones, however I don’t necessarily want to block being able to fold the windshield down either. Thanks in advance for the help!

You may be referring to the Mopar bumper mounts, which actually mount to the frame just behind the bumper (see photos).

They seem pretty rugged, but the install is quite involved...you have to remove (easy) the grill for access, and enlarge 4 existing holes in the frame (Wrangler; Gladiator install is different) by drilling them out, applying rust preventative to the resultant bare metal, and installing nutserts for the mounting bolts. Also, be prepared for cutting up the plastic bumper filler, if you choose to reinstall it.

Nice mounts, but a lot of work for a Mopar accessory; hardly a ”bolt on”!

Yup, they look good (thanks for the reply) but I’m not interested in that install.

I completely understand...it is a very involved install for such a simple mod. :whew:
I’m sure I could handle it as I’ve done other more complicated things. Thank you for your help, but as I said in my original post I am not interested in drilling into the frame or anything like that. Happy Jeeping!

I can't recall what specific brand, but there are cowl mounts that purposely don't interfere with folding the windshield. They position the cube lights down to the side rather than up top. Maybe it's the Mopar one. I swear I've seen a couple different options in my past searching. Sorry for the lack of specifics.

That’s something I’d be very interested in!
