I'm going to be upgrading the 37s next spring, and a good friend of mine has recommended an HD steering stabilizer kit, especially with the kind of off-roading I do, it's probably not a bad idea.

That being said I would absolutely love to get the Metal Cloak HD Steering Stabilizer Kit, I'm just not sure I'm going to have $900 to spend on that next year around the same time I'm spending $1,200 on tires, and another $1,600 on a new tune, pretty sure the wife will have a conniption and murder me!

So at this moment I'm considering the option of a budget friendly HD steering stabilizer kit.

Obviously Rough Country comes to mind, does anyone have experience with that kit? (I'd provide a link for it, but for the non-lifted kit, it seems you got a piece things together)

I'm not seeing a lot of other options out there for under $500... Anyone have any ideas? Or should I be putting off the tune till later in the year and factor in the Metal Cloak HD Steering Stabilizer kit Instead? šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Hey man, this is just my opinion, and I’m sure some will disagree, but steering components is something I don’t cheap out on….If you have to wait to save up, or sell an organ, whatever, get something worthy of the tasks…. MC is a great choice, RK, Clayton, Rusty’s, RJ, is just a few I’d recommend…. I don’t recommend SS anymore, to replace their ends cost 200.00 where most other companies are in the 90.00 range for replacement ends…I had SS draglink that failed at 15K. I’m not pissed that it failed, shit happens, and I’m not gonna bad mouth them, they’re a quality company, …but when I seen the price for the end, I went another route….fwiw….it cost me 20.00 for parts to rebuild mine now…..again, not a popular opinion, but I’m ready for the fallout…..šŸ˜‚

The Steering stabilizer isn't the most important part. You can just use and in expensive AEV or Fox and a relocation kit.

SteerSmarts for track, drag and tie. That is what a lot of us use and it is stout and a good price.

You also Wheel with a guy that had ties with Apex so ask Jonathan what deals he can get.

There's actually a couple people I follow on Instagram who runs SteerSmarts. I'll definitely look into that as well.
