see lots of complaints but what is the fix ?
Or is fix impossible because of how doors are constructed and it will just recurr
Noticing bubbling paint on door and around hinge ….. will jeep fix or just pay body shop to do?

I've had this issue on two doors and the hood in the past three years. It was covered under warranty. I also recently discovered a new area on the driver's door near the hinge. Not looking forward to the visit to the dealership and loss of my Jeep for a week.

I'm not exactly sure what steps they take to remove the corrosion. I'll say with absolute certainty it'll continue appearing in the same and different places.

Unbelievable that this quality failure somehow continues even on new production Jeeps to this day. The accumulated massive cost of repairs has got to be getting into someone's bank account by now. Or at least been a topic in a list of re-occurring problems in a corporate meeting looking for resolutions. Assuming they still have problem resolution committees in a company like a car manufacturer.

Thank you … sounds like it’s just a thing people have to deal with. I always worry the solution is worse than the problem. If it keeps spreading I guess I will take it to jeep…thanks again.

There’s a large thread on it.

This is a fairly common problem… Hopefully you can get a dealer that’s willing to work with you.

I wouldn’t wait and suggest getting the process started as soon as possible. It will only get worse from what you have.
