For those who experienced the paint bubbling issue around the door hinges and got them repainted at a body shop. I'm curious if you are still able to see the T-50 imprint clearly on the hinges after getting them repainted? I brought in my Jeep to fix the paint and now the T-50 imprints look like dimples, rather than actually being able to read them. I'm told that there's nothing that can be done to fix this. Shouldn't it be possible for them to sandblast the existing paint off and then repaint it without caking the imprint?

Sounds like they scuffed and painted over... Probably still corroded underneath. If so, doubt they removed the hinges either.

Do you have pictures?

Just posted em

They told me they took the hinges off and then painted the surface underneath it as well because it was all bare.

I hate to say it, but the shop did a $hit job prepping those hinges. It's very possible that they don't have a sandblast booth/bench to strip off the old paint. It does look like they scuffed/sanded (not sand blasted) and painted over, as mentioned above. Keep in mind that with imprints like these, below the main surface and in a small area, it's very difficult to get prepped properly without the correct tools.

They should be removed and bead blaster before re-painting!

With all due respect, that's exactly what a(n) (aftermarket) repaint looks like. There is no way a shop is going to sand blast them to bare metal. That's just not realistic. It looks like they took care of your corrosion issue, and they look close in color. You got what you paid for.
