Paint warped / bubbling?

Did they do the ceramic coating or did you have to do it? Reason I ask is there is no guarantee the fix will be permanent and certainly not covered under an additional warranty.

The dealer had it painted by a local body shop they use for this type of warranty work.

I had the ceramic coating done by a detailer I use. It’s expensive but it works much better than waxing. The ceramic coating creates a sacrificial layer on top of the clear coat. Car stays clean much longer than with wax. Water just beads up and rolls off.

Really glad I posted about this, I had no idea. It's a 2019 but I'm the second owner. So I'm right at the cutoff, possibly over. Is the 5 year warranty automatic or would that have been something the 1st owner or myself would have had to purchase? And do you think me being the 2nd owner affects anything?

I have a 2019 JLUR and 2nd owner that the hinges are effected on most. I put off and finally just on a whim called dealership and they said I had 2 weeks until warranty expired and they needed to get me in. I made appt and had them document. Next week I am to drop off and said will take 2 days at paint shop to sand hinges and repaint. If cant they will order new hinges. I printed the TSB for the paint/body shop. Need to walk around and look everything over closely.

Lucky! I called and am 2 months out of warranty. Not sure what my plan is at this point.

Just stumbled across this thread. 2nd owner of a '21 here and I had some bubbling paint on the leading edge of the hood.

Looks like it finally started on mine too.
Going to have to take it to the dealer so it is documented and see what they will do I guess.

just started noticing this on the lower edge of my front passenger door. what's the best recourse for those of us out of warranty?
