The that is on the to do list
Do you have a picture of how you added the wire? I think I am having the same problem as you? I don't get a right side error message, but it says module not installed. An I can change the settings on the radio. It just defaults to no sound/light.

I think I am having a very similar problem and can use both of your help. I purchased this https://infotainment.com/.../interior.../wiring/c-intbsm-jl/ from infotainment, instead of their $2600 kit. I was able to get the rest of what was included, ie mirrors, LED tail lights with the sensors new for much cheaper. The only thing I did not get was the OBD Genie, figuring I would use my Jscan. After the install I attempted to activate it using Jscan and got an error that blind spot alert was unavailable (not temporarily unavailable). Tried it with my Tazer JL mini and got the same error message. Is it possible that there is something unique about the OBD Genie that does not involve the wiring? I changed all the settings as originally posted. When I tried to activate anything on the left side, I automatically get an error (the right was fine). I bought all new blindspot ready mirrors from a dealership. How do I tell if I need to cut a wire or add a jumper? Also, the harness in the picture above looks like the one I received from infotainment without the extension that goes to the part by the door. What should my next step be? I am using the MX+
Can you see the left sensor Module with jscan? If not make sure you do NOT have both grounds wired on the left side. I cut mine in the middle and tapped them off (in case I needed to put back).
I attached the pic of wiring, you can see the light has 2 grounds and the left has one. That tells the CAN BUS which sensor is which, if both connect it only shows the "right" side.\

Under adaptation/Modules Cabin this is what I have set based of my wife's factory installed BSD.
BSM on/OFF - ACTIVE
BSDM LEFT BLIND - ACTIVE
BSM/LBSM - ACTIVE
RBSS/RBSM/RBSS - ACTIVE

Under Modules / Body
Blind Spot Alert Menu - Set
Blindspot Mirror Present - Not Set (I know, odd)
Radio User settings/Blind Spot Alert - Active

Also, did you use full mirrors or just the glass? When you press to run to you see the LED's on the mirrors go on/off quickly?

I got distracted by the other harness you showed and missed this for a while. You saved me once I figured out what this diagram was. Thank you so much @rollerbones !!!

To anybody else missing it in this thread with a lot going on....

If JSCAN says left BSM module is missing, and still says it when you remove right side tail light assembly, you stole your BSM sensor wires from a passenger side, and you need to cut one of the yellows that run right up to the sensor itself within the taillight assembly. It does matter which one. I had to wire nut the other back together.

just tried to install Blind sport monitoring. cannot see either module in Jscan. i did the wiring myself. question what side prong connector is the positive side? my wiring is simple. ran a hot wire to the left bsm and tapped for for right bsm. connected both positive star wires together, connected both negative wires together, tap the mirror wire on both sides.
codes U11B-00, U140E-00
any help would be appreciated

Do you have a ground wire at the mirrors?

I will take the mirrors apart tonight. I bought a door harness it has passive entry and BSM in it and a mirror jumper harness that BSM in it. When I put power to the BSM wire on the door the light lights in the mirror.

Got a new code U0011-00
But now the BSM triangles light up on ignition and then go out. Still cannot see either module in JScan. I used 18 gauge wire for the hook up for the star connector. Is that too thick or do I need to go down to 20 or 22 gauge?

Yes,
question is pin 1 the positve side of the connector? Am i correct to connect both posive wires together and both negative wires together then plug into canbus. or do i need run both lights separate to the canbus?

I bet that’s your problem. There would be no way for the bus to communicate with two modules if they share the same wires. Definitely run the L and R can bus connections separately
