If both modules check out fine, then check these settings in JSCAN:

Active Blind Spot Present - change to ACTIVE and select GO.
BlindSpot Alert ON/OFF - change to ACTIVE and select GO.
Blindspot Mirror Present - change to ACTIVE and select GO.
BSM - BlindSpot Module - On/Off change to ACTIVE and select GO.
BSM Left Blind-Spot Sensor - LBSS - Module - On/Off - change to ACTIVE and select GO.
BSM/LBSM - Left Blind-Spot Module - ON/OFF - change to ACTIVE and select GO.
RBBS/RBSM/RBSS - Right Blind-Spot Sensor Module - ON/OFF - change to ACTIVE and select GO.

turn off vehicle, wait 5 minutes, and turn ignition on again (don't start).

1. Turn your radio on if it isn't, your going to check the settings in your radio now.
2. Open SETTINGS.
3. Search for and select SAFETY & DRIVING ASSISTANCE
4. Put a check mark next to LIGHTS&CHIMES on the BLIND SPOT ALERT line.

Did the check mark stay? Or did it go out? you may have to force a radio reset in jscan. some have said it takes up to 24 hours for it to take the change. not sure if thats true, never had to wait very long just by doing resets with jscan.

Let us know.
I have both JScan and alfaobd. I’ll get the dump later. JScan sees the modules but something is wrong. What is short to battery or open?

I just did this also using the aftermarket harness and bought mirrors and tail lights (with BSM modules pre-installed). I used a continuity tester to find what wasn’t working.

that error is typically when one of the mirror warning lights isn't turning on. If one side isn't turning on due to a short or open. The BCM is expecting a specific amount of current draw by the LED in each mirror, and if that threshhold is either too low or too high, will set that fault. If its too low, it indicates an open, if it is too high, it indicates a short on the supply side. The BCM is only reporting that either condition exists, but not which one, so you'll have to figure it out. So, the bcm is reporting the fault to both modules in your case. Is either Blind Spot warning lights turning on? If one or both blind spot lights are on, that indicates continuity for that side to the mirror. If both are on, and you have that error, then something is drawing too much current from the BSM module for that side or both sides. If only one light is on, then I would suspect the opposite side that isn't lit as an open from the mirror light to the BSM module for that side.

The connector at each door is always suspect. This is how I would fault isolate the problem.

1. Disconnect driver door connector xy600.
2. Pull left rear (driver side) rear tail light off and do a measurement between driver door connector (harness side) xy 600-21 and rear tail light connector (harness side) pin 12. Use diagrams below to assist in getting to corrrect pin at both locations. Measure for resistance, If its open, then rerun wire or troubleshoot why.
3. Measure either at the tail light connector (harness side) pin 12 or driver door connector xy600-21 (harness side) to exposed frame of car for shorts. If there is a short, then run a new wire for the supply or find out why that pin is shorted to ground.
3. Put the driver door connector back on and measure at the tail light connector (harness side) pin 6 to frame ground. You should see a short. If it is open, then fault isolate why your harness isn't grounded either on pin 6 and/or at the door harness xy600-12. I typically use the grounding lugs in the side panel behind the covering that under the driver door connector.

Then you'll need to do the same for the passenger side.

I think I am having a very similar problem and can use both of your help. I purchased this https://infotainment.com/.../interior.../wiring/c-intbsm-jl/ from infotainment, instead of their $2600 kit. I was able to get the rest of what was included, ie mirrors, LED tail lights with the sensors new for much cheaper. The only thing I did not get was the OBD Genie, figuring I would use my Jscan. After the install I attempted to activate it using Jscan and got an error that blind spot alert was unavailable (not temporarily unavailable). Tried it with my Tazer JL mini and got the same error message. Is it possible that there is something unique about the OBD Genie that does not involve the wiring? I changed all the settings as originally posted. When I tried to activate anything on the left side, I automatically get an error (the right was fine). I bought all new blindspot ready mirrors from a dealership. I can not get the arrows on the mirrors to work either and neither of the modules are recognized in the Jscan. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@efreyman This just happened to me. Another thread hit on it, but I got lost in details. I think there's a good chance you took your BSM sensor wires from a passenger tail light. If there are 5 wires running from the main taillight wire harness to the BSM sensor (within the assembly), it's driver side. 6 = passenger side.
