I bought mirrors with blind spot. I believe last I checked I had the correct door harness but I think I’m going to look and check tomorrow. I do remember adding wiring but I think that was for the turn signals. I did not add a ground so maybe that’s it.
Not sure if this will help at all but its the end from the harness I purchased but modified since I did not have the whole mirror.
The gray tap wire is pin 7 is for the indicator for Blind spot that comes from the Blind spot output.
The white tap wire is pin 3 from rear turn signals for mirror signals if you have.
The top 2 pairs are just grounds soldered together.

I just checked continuity. I’m satisfied that my connections in the door harness are good. My wiring is very simple. From the tail harness I used pins 9-12. 10 and 11 are can ihs 9 is power(connected to lighter) and 12 is to the mirror led. I tapped into pin 21 @ door connector for each mirror. At this point I’m thinking two things, programming and modules. And since modules are used in leaning that way. Good luck on yours. I’ll comment once I get new modules.

@rollerbones I just had an ah ha moment. You said something previously about a ground. I just took the mirror apart and the harness has two grounds. One isn’t connected to any after the harness. Bet that’s the issue. About to jumper it out now.

Nice! Hope that was it for you.
That harness pic posted yesterday has the two grounds tied together.

Yep that was it. Been chasing my damn tail. I’ll do a proper write-up soon.

Did you Tie both grounds together or just use the other?

Tied them together in the mirror. Much easier than doing it in the door harness

Got it working! The issues, you only connect one of the 2 grounds on the left side. Here is a diagram that is basically all you need to wire up to get this working.

:) and all it took for me in the end was one little "click" of the wire cutters on one little ground wire. I needed to remove one and sounds like you needed to add one.

So simple and so overlooked

I am thinking front camera next. Was going to do actual Jeep Trailcam but some of the parts are expensive. Probably just do the "cargo" cam. Much quicker and cheaper!

I think I am having a very similar problem and can use both of your help. I purchased this https://infotainment.com/.../interior.../wiring/c-intbsm-jl/ from infotainment, instead of their $2600 kit. I was able to get the rest of what was included, ie mirrors, LED tail lights with the sensors new for much cheaper. The only thing I did not get was the OBD Genie, figuring I would use my Jscan. After the install I attempted to activate it using Jscan and got an error that blind spot alert was unavailable (not temporarily unavailable). Tried it with my Tazer JL mini and got the same error message. Is it possible that there is something unique about the OBD Genie that does not involve the wiring? I changed all the settings as originally posted. When I tried to activate anything on the left side, I automatically get an error (the right was fine). I bought all new blindspot ready mirrors from a dealership. How do I tell if I need to cut a wire or add a jumper? Also, the harness in the picture above looks like the one I received from infotainment without the extension that goes to the part by the door. What should my next step be? I am using the MX+
