Brown liquid leaking Smells like gas

My 18 wrangler just started leaking light brown. Smells like gas any thoughts before I spend a fortune at the garage? I’d like to fix it away from the garage but I’m no mechanic

If it smells like gas it likely is gas. Usually, though, detecting a gas leak starts with "I smell gas" vs "I see something leaking".

Can you see roughly where you think it’s coming from or where it’s ending up on the ground? Pics?, Stack a few paper towels under the Jeep over night and do a sniff test away from the Jeep the next morning. Pics could help you get more than guesses from people trying to help.

you can always light a match and throw it on the liquid and if catches fire it would most likely be gas....just kidding....

Need to know where you are finding the “gas”. There are plenty of places in fuel system / evaporator system for a leak to develop.

If it's brown it's probably just engine oil.

Is it near the tailpipe or under the exhaust? My guess would be normal condensation mixed with a little rust that smells like gas because it's coming out the exhaust.
