If you read the posts on the blown engines thread on Bronco6G: Ford and its dealers make Jeep look like the epitome of service excellence.

Ford is not perfect but neither is Stellantis. This and other Jeep forums are full of posts about FCA leaving people high and dry. With that being said, Ford totally screwed the pooch on the Broncos.
Look at all of the issues with the steering box on the first few years of the JL. While they did come forward with a fix, they weren’t exactly forthcoming at first. I also have had other recalls, reminding me yet again of my Dad’s advice, “Never buy a vehicle in its first couple of model years.”

I don’t trust ford and their ability to produce a reliable engine. Had a current gen mustang gt that got lemon lawed. Their dealer repair network is shit took it to 3 different dealers for misfire codes none of them could figure it out after several months. Than 6 months later a tsb comes out for plastic intakes cracking causing this issue. Also had a new ranger that knocked so bad under load I am glad to be rid of it. It was a problem waiting to happen. I will no longer buy Ford products at all.

I had the steering box TSB done to my Sahara; I even got into a fight with my dealer —see my signature.

But let’s keep things in perspective: I’ll take a weak steering box over a blown engine. A blown engine makes for one hell of a bad day.

Clearly most of us prefer the Wrangler issues over the Bronco issues. Not to mention a true 4WD machine.

Sure, the Bronco has a more refined ON Road experience (for some), but I bought the Wrangler for its 4WD capabilities, quirks and completed looks......... With soft and hard tops that actually fit.

When someone thinks of a cool, functional 4WD vehicle, I doubt many brains tend to yell "BRONCO"!
Mine says, Jeep, Samurai, Jimny, hell I think of Pathfinders, Geo trackers and tacos too. Not once have I ever though "Man that big, incomplete looking, IFS ~ box thingy would be nice on this trail"

Jeeps get ducks. Brocos get anal beads.

Sure does.

As soon as it found out a batch of Pentastars were defective, Chrysler jumped right on it, identified the problem, issued a campaign, notified dealers and owners; the whole thing was contained and pretty much resolved within six months.
Indeed. We bought the wife's 2012 WK2 early in that year so it was a 2011 build and not long after purchase we had the issue with the engine where it threw out a CEL and it was the cylinder 2 misfire that plagued a batch of the engines. They knew what it was, how to fix it and it was fixed promptly under warranty without an issue and been fine ever since. It just clicked over 160K last week.

The Bronco is based on the T6 platform/Ranger, which is new to North America (since 2018/2019), but has been available in international markets for a decade.
For me, having followed the 6G forum since before production began, and despite the multitude of manufacturing issues since, Fords biggest and most unforgivible sin has been it's treatment of the early reservation holders. You guys (and girls) supported the Bronco from day one and were largely responsible for the buzz and demand. Only to have the rules changed after Ford failed to build all the first year models promised - or left them sitting on dirt mountain. Switching back to their - outdated - allocation system for '22 and beyond screwed their most loyal supporters.
And then allowing for the crazy ADM's to be thrown at order holders when they finally arrived was unforgivable. It was fun to watch the 6G crowd go after those shady dealers though!
I would have given up and gone down the road to Jeep or Toyata as well. Shoot, the screwed up launch probably sold as many Wranglers as Bronco's judging by the quarterly sales figures...
As a Ford Motor Co retiree the Bronco launch is the biggest mess I've ever witnessed from the Company, and I've seen plenty. They rarely can launch a new product without problems, but this one is the worst. The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight? You bet. I can write a lot about my hunches on internal issues at Ford that led to this. But, summing it up, between Ford's utter incompetence and the downright dishonesty shown by many of the Ford dealers, the launch of the Bronco will taint the product for a long time, maybe forever. I'm considering getting a two door to replace my F150 when the time is right, which I'd get on my Z Plan (retiree). I can't imagine the BS I'd go through right now with the dealers, even if I got internal contacts at Ford to pressure them.

2.7 valve issues/engine failures is old news. The current topic on the my pretty pony website is fuel pumps dying.

Many are starting to talk about having a external secondary fuel pump because of this issue.
