I do not need them yet, but I always like to plan ahead so that I can catch a sale on brake pads, rotors, etc.

To that end, does anyone know what rotor size is on the JLUR with the towing package? Also, I frequently see these codes listed for different brake pad options on auto parts websites (BR2 BR6 BRY); where are these listed on the Jeep (they are not on the build sheet that I downloaded from FCA) and alternately how do you determine which code applies to your Jeep?

Came across this post while trying to figure out the same question. I found my answer on the order guides posted on here, albeit those were about as clear as mud. From what I have gathered this is what I came up with.

I’m sure someone can clarify or add to this.

For 2021 and 2022 JL/JLU they are as follows

BRY - base Sport and Sport S
BR2 - Right hand drive(RHD)
BR3 - 4XE models
BR4 - Xtreme Recon pkg, 392
BR5 - Sahara High Altitude
BR6 - Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, and all w/Eco Diesel option

Hope this will be helpful to others.

BRY is light duty, BR2 is heavy duty. from what I understand the ones equipped with BR2 (most likely rubicon) have a different caliper. If you put on BR2 rotors and it calls for BRY, you wont be able to get the caliper and pads back over the rotor. supposedly you have to look it up by VIN, but damn if I know where. Probably to force customers to the stealership
found this:

Jeep Wrangler JL, 2018-present

BR2, BR6 (13” diameter, 1.1” thick front rotor, 13.46” solid rear rotor)

BR3 (13” diameter, 1.1” thick front rotor, 13.78” vented rear rotor)

BRY (13” diameter, 0 .945” thick front rotor, 13” solid rear rotor)

Okay folks,
So I just did some research on this subject.
After e-mailing Power Stop to ask them what brake code I had, I ended up getting pointed to finding my "build sheet." The build sheet is not behind the glove box, as they thought it was.
So after doing some more digging, I figured out that you can find your build sheet here:
Equipment Listing (force.com)
Once you go to that link, you must enter your VIN number to get your build sheet. You can then either print it, or download it.
But your build sheet doesn't give you the brake code.
You must call a dealership, and give them the last eight digits of your VIN, and then they can give you your brake code.
Mine was "BR6."
I hope that this information helps.
Sincerely,
John

Does anyone know what brake code a 2018 JL wrangler Sahara unlimited 3.6 and would the tow package be if it included a hitch from factory since mine did? I was trying to buy new breaks and the dealer had no idea what break code was even from the vin. So if someone knows please let me know

This is so confusing, since I have Code brakes on my mountain bike, with over sized rotors

Just another data point for this thread. I ordered a parking brake backing plate assembly for my JLUR (D44 M220) and it was incorrect. The 68249593AA backing plate assy has a small hole that doesn't fit the D44 M220 Rubicon axle housing. So, BR2 likely for a Sport with a light duty housing.

I’m trying to figure out this code I need too. Any other way to get the brake code?
You might try with Benny, the Mopar parts guy that frequents the site.

I just got off the phone with a dealership in Cheyenne, WY since mine is closed (EST). lol

BR6

Now I’m trying to find out what the minimum service thickness is of my stock rotors.

I might be able to find that in my service manual.
