Noticed over the weekend the following marks on my front rotors. Jeep has 38k miles on it. The pits are not rusted, it almost looks like a chemical was spilled on the rotors and etched away the metal although I doubt that would have happened. Coincidentally I noticed it after I had an alignment done at a dealer though I don't know how in the world they could have done this.
I'm wondering if it was air pockets that formed during the manufacturing of the rotors and now that the rotor has worn down they were exposed.
