I bought a bottle of Bookers aged 7 yr 6 mo, 125.9 proof. I think I paid somewhere I think it was $125.

I am a high proof drinker, but this was like drinking stale gasoline...Ethyl for sure, 101 octane.

Has anyone else tried this?

Bad whiskey @S125 a fifth. I saw Canadian Crest for $6.88 at Albertsons.

If you're near a Safeway, it looks like that stuff is 4.99/fifth! Yikes. even at 80 proof, I bet that stuff is a good solvent.

Jeeze.. for almost 30 years, I was a one bottle at a time sorta guy, but always a bourbon guy. Usually I had a handle of Maker's Mark around and with other assorted stuff for mixed drinks (Rum, Vodka, To-Kill-Ya, Gin). I was on a trail ride where we had a bottle share around the camp fire and it was all over for me.
I'm now sitting at 56 different bottles of bourbon now. Still a Maker's guy as the bottom row shows.

Just thinking of the Jeep parts I could have gotten with this!

A little out of the way for me. I’ll have to keep my eye out. Not sure I’ve ever seen one in the St Louis area. Want a bottle of that and Old Charter…Can’t seem to find that either.

I put these to to rest this afternoon. The Larceny C922 is amazing. Caramel, cinamon, french toast. Does not drink at 126.6 proof. The JD Bonded is good, but not Whiskey of the Year worthy. Its like Banana Nut Bread in a bottle. Its got a proofy bite to it above 100proof.

Thanks, very good info. I will keep an eye open for it but saw zero Costco Bourbons during this weeks Costco run. I have a second store within a gallon of gas distance and will try #2 soon. Haha almost out of Old Forester used in a Brown Derby cocktail. My wife has plenty of grapefruits still hanging on the tree and will not notice.

It was good enough to be a daily shot glass until I can find my WL Weller 107 at a price I can afford, my last bottle was about $20 bucks. I have drank WL Weller for the past 51 years....

Just tried a new bourbon this weekend... Old Soul by Cathead Distillery in Jackson, MS. It's a high rye, which is not usually my jam, but this one's a keeper. My go-to mixing bourbon is Old Charter, been drinking that one for years.

This bottle was given to me by a fellow Jlwranglerforum member. We were just chatting, and talking about booze in general and told him that when my son returns from deployments, that I typically buy a good bottle of bourbon and a good cigar and will drive the 1000 or so miles and share a bottle with him.

Well he walks to his cabinet and pulls this out and says, I want you to have this.

So with luck, I may be cracking this open in six to nine months. Such a generous guy.
