When I was a young buck, there was this guy in school who had a car with about 15 antennae on it. Everyone kind of silently mocked him for his zealous nature. Which brings me to this.....

I will basically have a stock rubicon. Do you think this would look corny on a stock vehicle? The adult thing to say would be to not care what everyone else says as long as I like it. However, since I am still pretty low on the path to self-actualization, I don't want to run around looking like a doofus with this thing on my jeep.

What do you all think? Would this look funny on a basically stock rubicon?

It would look funny on a JL, because that Jeep in the image is a JK. ( or a Tj, I need to up my indentification skillz )

Get the right lightbar for the model you have.

Also, no way are you going to stop at just one lightbar. You are going to realize the need for 15+ antennae, and a stinger or bull bar, etc.

As for self-actualization, you just need to learn to wear it well, and stay in balance. Beyond that, do not give a s*** what anyone thinks about you. I respect other people, at least as human beings, but I do not know very many people well enough to have a deep regard for their sense of judgement.

KZ status.

Feels good, almost there.

Hey man, can I bum a smoke?

Ha! I was joking on your other thread about seeing those aux switches and feeling the need to just hook them up to something just because they exist. And here you are.

But seriously a light bar alone would look fine....but not that particular light bar. The newer ones are lower profile: that thing looks like it’s from the 80’s.

Knowing from your other post that you just want a Rubi for the occasional snow drift or whatever, I’d recommend not getting it just because it won’t ever get used and will probably just howl like crazy on the highway.

That light bar and those round lights are pretty bad a$$ in my opinion. I like the round lights and am leaning toward round instead of square myself.

At first I thought it might look like a little much but after thinking about it it'll be fine. It's a Rubicon for f-sakes...

Does your state require you run covers on them? Some only allow 4 front facing lights so you have to cover any additional. Some light bars get a pass since they look like one big light but this one wont be able to get away with that. On the plus side the covers will keep it looking new.

Here is one on a sport but it is not stock

I love light! So I'm extremely biased. My husband has the hood and bumper bars and I'm just waiting to find JL brackets before I order some. Looks better in person. My phone camera sucks lol. Also the Amber halos come on when the parking lights are on and they are DOT approved. Nice bright light too. It's your Jeep so love it and make it yours. :like:

Its what kind of statement you want to make. I wouldn't do it. I want the functionality but in a discreet way. Its like my bike. I don't have anything flashy on it, but once you look at it you see the details in the modifications. I bought it for 20K and put another 10K into it, but you wouldn't notice it at first glance. Same with the Jeep. Make your statement and stand by it, or change it. I have bought two or three different 'like' products, tried them all on, and sent back the ones that didn't 'fit' the look I was going for.

For ease of wiring you can’t go wrong with an led light bar. Light output and quality are great and they can be much less obtrusive.

That KC Pro6 bar is going to run you several thousand dollars. They are great lights though, I had a pair on my JK.

I like these lights. However, I have it in my mind that the jeep wrangler should have round lights on it. However, I am more old school, and by the way, is there any dumber term than old school? But anyhow, are there other people that feel this way? Is there anyone else that thinks the wrangler should have round lights? Maybe it's just an age thing or something.

I like round lights too but I think they look better on 2 doors. The more "classic" look. Just my personal preference. But any light you choose will be just fine!

Like it. Have 2 KC 6" on my JK and now adding 2 KC 6" spots to the 6" KC HID driving lights I already have on my 2 dr JL Rubicon. I've seen way too many noise complaints about the 50" light bars to go that way. Plus the KC spots way outshine the 3" cube lights. I had to remove the 3" cubes I had mounted on the side because the fins were causing a whistle.
I go up into the mountains and it gets dark up there plus driving on the interstate of Wyoming and Montana at night I like to see the deer and antelope on the side of the road way in advance.
Those look like the top of the line KC lights that are about $300 each but you could probably put on the next step down from there line for about half the price. Not sure how all of those wires would get down to your switch unless they they have a wiring channel that you could combine them.

Damn. Is the local mall parking lot that dark?!

I see so many wranglers and other 4x4s running around LA streets with enough lights to make the LAPD helicopter pilots jealous. 99% of which im sure never drive off road in the dark.
But if you actually have a use for them then cool. Seems like so many people overdo it with these things.
