Just ask @cosine he knows!
Nice. If you don’t want the wrangler sticker mine came off really easy. I used a hair dryer to warm it up and it peaked right off. Did not even leave any residue.
Took mine off too, would have looked much better if you couldn't see the clear sticker outline, looks cheap that way IMO.
And FWIW I HIGHLY recommend using painters tape and paper to cover up the hinge and fender areas from over-spray, even though it can be removed w/ rubbing it takes much more time than just simply masking off the area, and getting in that groove where the fender meets the body takes awhile and that area behind the front lower hinge is hard to get it all cleaned up, at least IMO.

Like the idea of the key hole getting the treatment too. For those wanting a gloss rather than a rubbery texture you can use Duplicolor Custom Wrap, I used Gloss Midnight Black

Nice. Does that lift give you enough for going off road, or at least eliminate any rubbing?

That’s pretty good price for those parts. Did you leave them as they came or paint them?
I haven't done any major off-roading to where I felt like I needed significant fender clearance - just some mild Jeep trails and dirt backroads for camping/fishing/backpacking. Have not had any issues with rubbing.

I did not paint the inserts - they come in a nice black color that I thought looked great just as they were.

Awesome. Going to order those parts. HATE the silver on the grill

How’s the ride with the tires? I looked them up and could only find them in E rated tires which are usually a little stiff on the wranglers from what I have heard.

It is a little stiffer ride than the stock ATs but barely noticeable. I did a lot of research on tires before I purchased and these were consistently rated extremely well. Several local guys also said this is their favorite tire when comparing performance, comfort, noise, and longevity.

I have a black sahara as well...I've already done the grill and headlight buckets in plasti-dip, they drove me nuts being silver!

I've been on the fence about doing these, but you just sold me... so thanks!

Edit-only pic I’ve got on my phone but it gives you an idea of the headlight buckets and grill in plasti-dip

How did you darken your fender lights? I dont like the look of the stock ones and have been thinking about how to fix the look - tint? GTS smoked covers?

How did you get your look?

Yeah they are coming off, ordered some "granite crystal edition" decals from pixel decals in flat black to replace the wrangler stickers.

Did you just cut out the small key hole insert after you sprayed them? I need to do those as well.

I sprayed the hole thing then just cut out the key hole woth a razor blade. I could have left it as I will probably never use the actual key.

Figured this would fit here as well, just did the hood blackout. It was actually easier than the emblems. Got mine off ebay for $40. Quadratec price is just stupid.

Thanks! Those are 285/70/18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on 9in Fuel Beast wheels with a +1 offset. The tires measure out at 34in.

I’m currently using a Traxda leveling kit - it’s 1.5in in the front and 1in in the rear. But I am considering purchasing some Rubicon takeoff suspension which should add another 0.75-1in lift.

For the black grill and fog lamp trim - I purchased the mopar unpainted parts and installed them as such. I didn’t want to plastidip the silver ones in case they got scratched or chipped. I think I paid around $150 total for the parts. Installation was easy.
Do you have the Mopar link for the trims?

Hated the bright billboard on the side of my jeep so instead of taking off the emblems I used some plasti dip. First time using that stuff and I have to say it’s pretty awesome. Next up need to black out the grill and fog light surround but will probably paint that.

For some reason, I am struggling with Plasti Dip. I'm sure it is entirely an operator issue. One side worked out great and the Plasti Dip pulled off the paint and around the Jeep letters just fine. However, on the passengers side, when I pull the Plasti Dip off the paint, it also pulls it off the small red trim around the Jeep letters. When this happened the first time, I peeled all the Plasti Dip off and started over. Same thing happened again, on a different letter. I am applying 6 coats and allowing about 20 minutes between each coat. Is 6 coats too much?
