I went into the local store to order a set of 5 BFG KO2 in 315/70/R17 and was told they can bring them in from other stores (this time) but they are showing as discontinued. Any details on if it is just this size or perhaps a KO3 on the horizon?

No not back ordered, they specifically said the system shows they are discontinued. They’re bringing them in for me from other stores and will have by Thursday next week.

He must have been looking at E loads. The Cs are OE on the Raptor and the XR

Hmm I thought the Raptors had 37”s in C rated. When I asked about 37”s he said I’d need to go to a 10 ply E rated… I dunno, where is the mystery van when you need it?

It's the global computer chip shortage. I'm due to change out the chips in my KO2s, but having to put it on hold.

Jokes aside, I don't like this. Although I'm currently a KO2 fan, I hated when BFG discontinued the KO for the KO2. I already pre-hate the KO3.

37 KO2 don't even come in E, they have D (regular) and C (Raptor). I have a set of Raptor 37 tires, these are crazy light bastards.

To answer OP's question, no way BFG will discontinue KO2, which is arguably the best selling OEM and aftermarket all around AT tires in the history of AT tires. Hell you can still buy KO1 in some places.

The 37s are a package, 315s are standard.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Probably just that specific K02 size in that load rating is being discontinued. Like others mentioned the K02 flies off the shelves and is probably in the top 3 most popular off road tires on the planet, no way are they going to drop their golden goose!

Sort of, kinda retired....mostly
Just put a set on my JLR. No issues getting from Discount Tire and no mention of them being DC'd. I would be astounded if BFG DC'd one of the most popular tires in the US.

Thank you for reaching out @BDinTX and my apologies in advance for the confusion.

BFG recently made some changes to the tire in question and in doing so discontinued MPN: 58424 (315/70R-17 LR-C *S-Speed rated* KO2) and has replaced it with MPN: 08884. MPN: 58424 is what is listed in our system and is why you are being told it's no longer available.

We do not have an internal part number for MPN: 08884, however we can special order it should inventory be available per BFG. I'll add that MPN: 08884 has the same service description as the predecessor (315/70R-17 LR-C *S-Speed rated* KO2).

It's worth noting that BFG also offers a LR-C with T-Speed rating in the 315/70R-17 size as well. This is MPN: 07361. We do have an internal item number for this version which is 104135.

My apologies again for the confusion. Replying to your PM now.

When I look up BFG KO2 315/70/17 113S, I see item number 33624 (MPN 58424) and it shows available now, arrives at my store in 1 to 5 days. Is that not accurate? Any idea what's changed between MPN 58424 and 08884?

I really wish they made a 315 or 35" C load with white letters. I was hopeful during this MPN shuffle that one would show up but no luck.
