Right! Using a jackboard was "the" way to recover back when I was growing up, nobody seems o use those anymore, maybe they aren't necessary with the traction boards and kinetic straps available. We simply jacked the vehicle up using the jackboard and pushed sand back under the tires.Everyone, how about a "Jack Board? Piece of 5/8th or 3/4" plywood 18" square. Jacking on sand is tough w/o board Jeep stays where it is, jack goes down. I would think most driveable beaches under official rules require it, I know Cape Cod National Seashore inspection does !
