Hi guys. Long time Jeep fan, first time owner with a new 2018 JLUR. Was curious if I could get some recommendations on "essentials" that you found a need for. Any help is greatly appreciated and thanks for your time! :)

The most important thing is SEAT TIME!!!

A list of things to think about.

1. Good way to store the doors and hard top when you remove them - Brackets to hang, DIY cart, etc, lots of good info here - https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/hardtop-cart-holder-diy.6581/
2. Mirrors when you remove the doors - CMM, Lange, Rugged Ridge, etc.
3. First Aid Kit.
4. Basic Recovery Items for trail riding.
5. SEAT TIME, get out there and get lost, trail ride with friends and family!

You will identify your additional needs as you learn what your jeep is capable of. Have a blast and welcome to the addiction! JustEmptyEveryPocket!

Thanks CalsJLUR! I purchased the hardtop carrier (Surco HT200), if it isn't to my liking I'll definitely be making my own from the link you provided. I also bought the Crooked River Offroad CRO-KT-0009 for holding the doors and figured I could mod it a bit and make it better.

I'll be out there hitting the trails soon and thanks again for the info! :)

No problem!

If you are going to keep the top off for extended period of time, you may want to get a sunshade!

-Spider Web Shade: https://www.spiderwebshade.com/

-J Tops USA: https://www.jtopsusa.com/

-Ailen Shade: https://www.aliensunshade.com/

There are tons of options to fit your need!

2004 Honda Accord coupe, V6 6-speed manual; ordered 2018 JL Sport 6MT with A/C and anti-spin. D status.
A flash drive or music player with Blondie and The Go-Go's in the Jeep is required equipment, at all times. It's not really possible to drive to Starbucks without basics like that.

A couple of other items I have purchased!

Tazer JL - the start stop drives me crazy!

M.O.R.E. Dead Pedal - Just makes the driving experience more comfortable for me.

Mopar Door Guards.

The simple and easy first things:

Flashlight/fire suppression holders
Rubber mats
Door sill protection
Rock rails or nerf bars
Ditch the factory wheels
Stubby antennae
Mirrors for doors off
Tint front windows
Gas cap

Then we go suspension, tires, and anything that fits that you want to do with it.

Basically, just drop your wallet into bucket and assume your paycheck is gone.

Thanks! All good suggestions. The Tazer JL seems like a GREAT investment too!
