Be Very Careful w/ NoLimitz

Finally got the itch to install the NoLimitz onto my Jeep last night, did the firmware update and plug in correctly. Got it to work (5 flashes) on the second try then starts the vehicle, dash light up like Christmas tress. Code was lost communication with BCM, TCM..Airbag, AutoPark, etc.....I then unpluged everything and clear the codes, vehicle still acting up. Emailed tech support and they replied saying the hardware might be default if build before 9/3/24, mine does and they offer to swap it....
I suspect the canbus connector was bad and went to local dealer to pickup a fresh one, installed and all problem went away....
So, be mindful if this is your only vehicle or parked blocking other vehicles you might not be able to move it if it acting up, and be prepared to swap out the Star connector....
I'm not blaming anybody I'm just sharing my experience what gone wrong and what's the fix...

Tech support said their or the Jeep’s hardware default if build before 9/3/24 ? Offering to replace it indicates the NoLimitz, yet you accurately suspected the canbus.

NoLimitz has default.
After unplug NoLimitz and return everything to back stock and the CEL was still on and no communication. Canbus connector was the only thing I touched and their reputation so I replaced it...and it fix the CEL...

Tech idjit still doesn’t get what “default” the NoLimitz could have…. but it works properly, so I won’t worry. Thanks

I wouldn't putting the NoLimitz back on even after the replacement, after reading some not so good experience with it here. Seems it needs lots of work still.

I don't know how did the canbus connector broke, but it went bad after NoLimitz plugs into it, or maybe I'm not gentle/delicate enough with the wires...or it was 3+ years old...

I wouldn't putting the NoLimitz back on even after the replacement, after reading some not so good experience with it here. Seems it needs lots of work still.

I don't know how did the canbus connector broke, but it went bad after NoLimitz plugs into it, or maybe I'm not gentle/delicate enough with the wires...

The issue I recall seeing was torque management in 4-L and I think OR+. I got it for MDS daily driving disable, if issues otherwise I will just turn it off as needed.

I had a very similar situation happen with the one I bought from Amazon. I was about to go the route of contacting tech support, but I saw that if I just ordered another one, I could get it the next day, so I did.
When I got the new one, I noticed that the factory black box it was in, had a piece of tape that sealed the lid, while the first one I got didn’t have the tape. I returned the 1st one to Amazon saying it was defective. I plugged the new one in and it has worked perfectly ever since. I think the first one was used or something since It didn’t have the tape over the lid.
