Anyone installed the Z Automotive Nozlimitz and used the security enclosure? I can’t find any instructions on where to mount it or what actually goes inside the box. I’m assuming just the module, and not the actual canBus. Any pictures of an install would be helpful. I sent an email to Z Automotive, but don’t expect to hear back over the weekend. Their video on the enclosure shows how to protect a small bottle of hot sauce, which is amusing, but not helpful for me.

It will sit somewhere behind the glove box, where ever you have enough cable slack to position it. It does not need to be attached to anything else in particular.

Hopefully they can share some pictures.

I plan on calling Z automotive on Monday. I’ll post some pictures later in the week of my go at it, once I have it figured out.

Just what does it secure ? A small box for the NoLimitz ? I honestly don’t get it. Mine is tucked behind the top of the carpet just to the left of the glovebox. Unseen and easy access.

Well that is exactly the question that @ScotM will answer.

Why does it need easy access?

I don’t even get the premise, OK put it in a small box, they take the box. Easy access was in case removal needed for warranty purposes.

ok I see. I thought it enclosed the canbus or whatever it plugs into as well so it can’t simply be unplugged, but I’ve never taken a close look behind the glove box,

The new dash is different and they are more complicated to install. On the old dash it plugs in behind the HVAC and the canbus behind the glovebox. I haven’t seen the security enclosure but it’s doubtful it would enclose more than the small unit (small hot sauce) to work with both, but to be determined.

I'm out of town on a business trip so soonest would be Saturday.
In the meantime, I'll see if I can get my son to take a photo.
It really is as simple as it sounds, connect the NoLimitz, place it in the security box, close the box with the provided hardware and position it into a space where it fits.

Ok there is no rush…I’m just trying to figure out what it solves.

I would want the canbus star connection block to be in a security box, not the nolimitz box.

To bypass the nolimitz, just unplug the original canbus wire and plug it back into the star connector block. Doing that one simple change will eliminate all security features of the nolimitz. So, if I was using it for security I would want to make access to the star connection block much more difficult.

Just my 💰💰.

This is exactly what I’m trying to figure out. I tried looking for install videos withot any luck. There’s plenty of aluminum project boxes and security hardware out there to DIY something.

Without the security box, yes, all one must do to bypass the NoLimitz is is disconnect it and reconnect the original line. The NoLimitz sits within the security box making cutting the CANBUS wire and splicing on a new connector the only way to bypass the NoLimitz. It is as simple as it looks.
