My 2019 came with AGM Mopar batts. Looking at the failures people post here though leads me to believe they are very low quality. I gave the big one away and put the small one in my wife's quad.

Are you running a different dual system or just replace the stock batteries with something of better quality

I am running the Genesys dual battery system. I believe there are others who are just replacing the stock setup with aftermarket batteries. I needed the extra juice for off grid power.

I don’t run much off grid stuff but wanted the dependability of the setup of the Genesis so I to am running it, I only have a winch connected to it and occasionally pull power from the aux using a compressor, my only point of concern was the relay pulling as much as it does when the batteries are connected but when my JL is parked for several days I put my Odyssey 20 amp charger on it and for a quick top off I use a NOCO 10 as it hangs on the wall right next to where I park

Will:

Suppose for argument sake I park my 3.6JL at the airport for 2 weeks.

Is there an easy way of disconnecting and reconnecting the power drawing aspects of the Genesis system in these situations where trickle charging, or even solar charging (because you're in a parking structure) aren't possible?

I guess you could always just yank cables off of the negative side of both batteries right?

@Gee-pah the solenoid that connects the two batteries only stays energized until one of the batteries gets down to 12.7 then it disconnects them so after that point there is no power draw from that part of the system and then the only draw you would have would be off the main and that would be from what ever the JL draws thru the PDC while sitting and then once you start it and the relay sees the voltage at the main for 13.2 for several minutes it energizes again connects the two batteries again, you can once parked disconnect the isolator that connects The two batteries and it’s pretty easy to do that but I doubt I would do that as it would put wear and tear on the watertight connector doing that all the time and like I said it only pulls power until the 12.7 +/- .1 voltage break point
