I pick up my JL Rubicon in about 2 weeks. On the drive back home would like to charge my Iphone as the battery is ready to quit. But I dont want apple car play or maps to come up on the display.
How do I leave my phone on without seeing the maps?

Go into your iphone settings and turn carplay off.

Just hit the media button. Just because carplay is active does not mean u have to use it.

CarPlay is just one app button along the bottom of the screen. You never have to press it. Also the screen is configurable (at least on the 8.4”) so you may be able to take it off the menu of buttons on the bottom altogether if you don’t like it or find it useful.

Also, there’s always the option of using a different USB port inside the console or in the backseat that doesn’t connect to the infotainment system.
