Can't get parts in California they are known to contain materials that may cause cancer or reproductive harm! :CWL::CWL:

many parts haven't been approved for use in California because CARB (the California Air Resources Board) hasn't approved them as replacements for the compliant parts your vehicle was manufactured with. (it has nothing to do with Prop 65 materials they are made of.) if you can see the mtns from your home in Los(t) Angeles instead of seeing the air you breathe, you might thank the people who are behind those standards; when i was there you often couldn't even tell there were even mtns there.

thing is, the 3.0 EcoDiesel for the J**p wasn't manufactured in large enough volume that many aftermarket manufacturers see the value in supporting it, and a smaller subset of those have the resources to go through what it takes to get the EO sticker to allow their parts to be used. upside is that this might be a tip; reputable aftermarket parts manufacturers *do* manage to get their stuff approved, so i tend to take the lack of approval as a red flag that the stuff might be junk.
(ON-topic example; Gale Banks manages to get his stuff approved,...)

that said; i'd still love to see a good snorkel for the Diesel, but may just settle for one of the hoods with an actual ram-air intake. we'll see if i ever get to where i have a problem that i think anything like that would solve.

So being in “ California “ this is the first time I’ve run into “ can’t purchase or ship “ in California !!! WTH ?
i guess I’ll fabricate with my own air intake parts as I always done on my GNX. Supra. Datsun 280z etc. does anyone know of any air intakes I can buy and have it shipped in LA ? Unheard of ! Bunch of BS

Seriously....no shits its because of CARB. Which incidentally affects the rest of the country because y'all are too dumb to not live in mega cities and then bitch about everything to the point the rest of the country also gets screwed. Parts are fine....California is not enough said?

I have the banks derringer and pedal monster. I need more turbo sounds now

I run around on mid-high sport mode and 6 on the derringer all the time.

That’s sound awesome. My first car was a turbo (84-Z31) and I’ve always have owned turbo vehicles and one SC ??
btw do you have a air intake ? Any chance to hear the whistle?

So I did take it to get an oil change at the dealer, and I believe they said they did some kind of firmware upgrade. (I had already removed all the evidence of the tuner/pedal monster) Any ideas how to check what firmware it's currently running on?
Get a Fumoto valve and DIY oil changes are a snap. It’s bound to be less labor intensive than removing/reinstalling the Banks gear.
