I need to do some more troubleshooting.. I wanted to try with just the pedal monster to see if we get the same errors since thats the only thing we didn't change.. I checked software/firmware versions of things and it all looked updated.

It's just hard as we are full time on the road, and my wife drives the jeep while I drive the RV and last thing I need is for that to be happening while she's driving down the highway haha.. Boy do I miss the way it would drive with the tuner enabled

Been using for Banks Tuner and Pedal Monster for 6-8 months.. Definitely noticed the difference over stock. Its much nicer to drive in on and off road scenarios..

However, Recently the jeep started throwing an Electronic Throttle controller error and the jeep just goes into limp mode and won't go past 40-45 mphs... I removed the system and everything went back to normal.. I had Banks send me a new tuner, reinstalled and 1 day later same issue..

At this point i'm not sure if its the jeep, or the tuner/pedal monster it doesn't like.. I'm back to stock for now with no error codes. Not sure if i should take it into a Dealer to have them check it out.
I have the Banks throttle pedal monster and Derringer with idash haven't experienced any issues so far.
Curious did you alter in take or exhaust. Are you also running Tazer JL ?

I didn't have any modifications other than the Deringer/Pedal Monster and Igauge. It's weird.. I've read the Eletronic Throttle Error can be for many things, but it only seems to get triggered when I hook up the tuner/pedal monster.

The error code i was getting is P0108 Code: Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure High

I just installed the Pedal Monster today. The lag is gone on the diesel.

Find out which one of the scan tools is the best for the EcoDiesel. I do not have one so I am unaware. That is where I would start. Because you're using aftermarket plug-and-play I would definitely not bring it to the dealer or bring it to their attention. Since you're only experiencing the issue when using the Banks, I advise diagnose it yourself first. That should be useful in narrowing down the cause of the code. Check out the link below that I found on the internet for more information I hope it's helpful, good luck.

Ok so that code for the MAP sensor could be 1- the wiring to the map sensor may be cut /loose /kinked or the map sensor is bad most are GM based map sensors. Look at the map sensor plug itself and the plug from the derringer. The small pins inside the connectors may be bent or touching each other. You can test the map sensor with an ohm meter. I don’t know what the range needs to be but I’m sure you can find it ? Otherwise if the map reads too high it may be a faulty vacuum port sending too high of a pressure signal to the ecu ?! If you set the derringer to sport or race mode maybe it altered the signal and locked it on high boost /pressure. These are things i have run into with any MAP sensor on high boost applications. Like my Supra 2jzgte with a stand alone

which version of Firmware is your EcoDiesel on?
when mine was in for the Y81 DEF recall, i noticed mine moved forward 2 Revisions, and the mechanic mentioned something about the previous one being for a "MAP Sensor update or something like that".

if you haven't had the Y81 recall flash done yet, maybe try that and see if your problem doesn't go away...?

Thanks for the info. I will definitely check out the map sensor to make sure nothing funky going on.. I did re-install the pedal monster yesterday with no Deringer.. So far no issues going to ride like this for a few days while we are stationary and see if it triggers any issues.

So I did take it to get an oil change at the dealer, and I believe they said they did some kind of firmware upgrade. (I had already removed all the evidence of the tuner/pedal monster) Any ideas how to check what firmware it's currently running on?

i would expect that the paperwork you got back from the Service department would show if Firmware was updated, and what it was updated to.
for example, mine went from:
68501376AD to
68501376AF.

you can check on the My Jeep app (and probably somewhere else) to see if the Y81 Recall update is still open for your vehicle and/or if the update has been done yet.

So I finally got my new OBD cable, updated the firmware on my old L5P's iDash to work with the Wrangler, and installed the PedalMonster. Sport mode is very impressive and feels like what I was missing in acceleration.

So my firmware was updated.. I reinstalled just the pedal monster no issues.. Will be attempting the Deringer re-install and checking the map sensors are good during the process.

Damn why didn't I think of taking that panel off! Trying be a giraffe under the dash was no fun!

Love my pedal monster also!
When you get it done, its great. Man, I feel my jeep has come alive. I put it on the panel, so I can remove it quick so the dealer visit is so easy no tie wraps to remove.
