The Pedal Monster is certainly a very nice improvement to pedal lag. The only downfall to this stuff is having to remove it when you go to the dealer. Its easy to do but it can be a pain when you go through the trouble of zip tying things up.

Best solution is to just not go to the dealer for anything unless it's absolutely necessary. I have been to the dealer exactly once for a recall. That's it. Next trip would be for the fuel pump recall when they get that straightened out.

Even when my aux battery crapped itself I decided a quality aftermarket battery was better than getting another free junk dealer battery.

Yes its generally not a problem for me since I will often pay for things myself even if it is under warranty since it is usually a waste of my time to deal with a dealer service.
If we ever get available fuel pumps that will probably be my next visit.

I only go for warranty stuff, the last one was power related so they were under the hood and in the dash. I figured it best to wait till after that was all settled. My friend's shop handles my oil and fuel filter changes, they've done well other than the rag I found (and let him know).

One only needs to remove the Derringer. The iDash and Pedal Monster don’t do anything that could, even remotely, void your warranty - especially the iDash.

I removed it only because the dealership I had tried was looking for any excuse they could to not do work. They even claimed my winch, which wasn't even connected to the battery, caused my radio amplifier to short out.

You need an iDash to control the Pedal Monster and Derringer. So you'll have that regardless. It's a good way to track a few things in real time.

You need something to set the level in the Pedal Monster. An iDash will do it. Maybe other things could too. I never looked that up.
