Ball Joint Cotter Pins

Hi. I'm planning to check the torque on my ball joint nuts and am planning to replace the cotter pins with new ones. Does anyone know the size of our ball joint cotter pins? If not, I'll have to remove one and try to match it up with the ones they have at Lowe's. Thanks!

There is no specific size of cotter pin. Just find the largest that will fit with out having to force it.

Hi. I did as mentioned by spurly. I took a photo, went to Lowe's, eyeballed the sizes they had and got what looked close.

Where are you finding the OEM torque value? I would like to check but don’t know what it is supposed to be.
