Badlands winch

Anyone have a recommendation for a bumper that will work well with a badlands apex? Just got my 24 Willys and starting my build.

Not looking to go with Mopar stock metal bumper. Looking for after market metal bumper.

Oh, ok, I wasn't suggesting the Mopar steel bumper. I was suggesting the plastic bumper, but if you want an aftermarket bumper, I've owned two and would not suggest either.

I had that winch installed in a Rugged Ridge "Arcus" bumper on my Gladiator. It fit well. I'd still recommend drilling a hole on the plastic cover of the winch, and relocating the wires to come out the passenger side. Otherwise the wires are smashed up next to the lower grille.

Lots of choices in aftermarket bumpers that will accommodate that winch. Personally I wanted to keep the stock look so replaced my stock plastic with a stock steel and the winch fits neatly behind and below the bumper. It protects the winch line and keeps the grille area open for better airflow. Ends are easily removable to make it a stubby. Have used my Badlands Apex 12k more than a few times and have been very satisfied with its performance.

I installed the Badlands 12k synthetic winch on my 2023 after I picked up a Rugged Ridge Venator bumper. It did take a little fabricating to get it to fit and the cable is very tight against the grill. With the 2024 grill, I don't think that will be necessary. I met a guy with a 2024 who had the Venator and it fit just fine. Check out my profile pic and page 7 of my build thread.

i've had to use the winch and it works great. I love it for the $450 I paid for it.

I have been leaning towards the Venator. Think it looks OEM but not OEM

I just put a Badlands 12K winch on my 2024 Willy’s. It’s mounted on a Rockhard 4x4 full length aluminum bumper. We installed the winch and bumper last weekend, still have to finish up the wiring. I went with this bumper as I need to flat tow the Jeep behind my small motor home so. I wanted the bumper integrated tow points

Bulldog winch plate.

• Any spacers required to install that plate?
• Is the clutch handle fully functional (i.e. turn 180 deg.) without cutting/modification?

This is the Rival Steel bumper. Badlands nice and snug but no cutting required.
