I'm not sure. When I talked to Mopar, they said I had the current U Connect and that an update is being sent by the end of June or beginning of July.

I bought my new 2021 JLUR in May, I had both issues. Missing backup guides, and camera stopped working.

Since I had a upcoming 30 day cross country vacation, having that fixed was a priority for me. I called the dealer. They checked it out. Unfortunately it wasn’t fixed before I left.

The one day I got the prompt. I let it update. The camera no longer blacks out. But the guides are hit and miss.

At least the camera works. I’m heading home, will ask them to check again.

Yeah, I got an update 2 days ago, took like 45 minutes, and haven't lost my guide lines since, overall system seems to be a tad faster in reaction time as well.

try calling U connect from your Jeep. I did so & received the update about a week later & all is good.

Got a phone call from UConnect a few days ago. They had me go out and confirm the current version on my 8.4. Then he told me they don't have the update for my particular radio yet, but it would be out "soon" and delivered OTA.

So, another "check's in the mail" response while I continue to patiently await resolution of this defect.

Odd, my backup camera lines always worked perfectly until the recent firmware upgrade for the clutch slip detection (Y07). Or, it may be coincidental that it showed up after the update. On my 2018 JLU Sahara with 6-sp man. for three years it worked flawlessly. Since the firmware upgrade, now the guidelines (neither fixed nor static) appear when I go into Reverse. I tried to reset the UConnect with the earlier thread; however, cannot get this to work. One step in the instruction is to put the vehicle in "P" park - I don't have a PARK it's a manual transmission for gosh sake. Is this a precautionary step (like setting the parking brake) or does the reset process look for the A/T to be in PARK? Is there an alternate procedure for a manual in lieu of having the vehicle in PARK?
