Average Highway speeds

I drive my JL at the same speeds as my 4Runner, previous Grand Cherokee’s, etc, etc. With the manual and 35’s, I may need to down shift on hills, but it there’s been no compromise on the highway.

I have safely driven my 2 door up to speeds of 100+, both with and without lift. Around 70 it is golden for sure. Very impressive on-road manners even at speed.

I usually drive mine on trips a fair bit to offroad parks and such and a lot locally but usually prefer backroads for enjoyment.

70-75 cruises just fine and up and down based on traffic. Get around 14 MPG I think..

I think it is fine, I am used to it and the quirks.

Little Mule (4.88 gears / 37” mud tires) is happy at 80mph with a tailwind. MPG faster than that and you’re filling up like it’s a bike. My 2 door reads empty with two gallons left in the baby tank.

65 as much as I can, anything faster and the wind noise and beating with no doors gets bad. Jeep likes 65 for mpgs also.

67 mph is my sweet spot. Right lane gang here…. Speed kills tires, mpg, engines, and stupid people.
