I don't know if this is a known problem or if it is just my 2021 2 door Willys but when I was wiring in a dash camera to the auxiliary wires today
I found that the wires for ignition power and AUX 3 wires were backwards in the jeep wiring.
The orange with a pink stripe was ignition power.
The pink with orange stripe was AUX 3.
This is just an FYI if this is not already known to the group.

I’ve done dashcam installs in 5 or 6 JLs now (two of them mine). I followed the same diagram and did the same thing my first time. I did it on purpose the second time, because it’s kind of nice being able to turn it off without unplugging it, and the hell else was I using AUX3 for? #3 and 4 are the low-amperage switches (10A) anyway.

That diagram has those two mixed up. They’re all like yours from at least 2019 on.

Where you aware that the Orange/Pink wire may have been defaulted to Ignition Hot in the UConnect system. The Orange Pink is Aux 3 and is a 15 amp circuit and can be set for ignition on or battery hot along with momentary or constant latching options in the UConnect system.

The Pink/Orange wire is a permanent ignition on/off and a 10-amp circuits only.

you can change the state of 1 - 4 AUX only. Not battery or ignition wires. #3 and #5 are as stated above on my jeep. Backwards or switched.

I'm pretty sure that diagram is simply wrong, but it's still stickied.
After i figured out what was going on with my jeep wiring I found a thread online where a person had the same problem and a dealership verified the jeep wiring was wrong.
But you could be right the picture could be wrong.
