Hi everyone
Recently I have noticed that my auto start/stop stopped working and get aux switch limit message “ not available charging “ something like that … a few months back I installed and removed the tazer lite. (Wasn’t for me just yet ). I did “ unmarry”. And never paid attention to the ESS / start-stop which is a good thing. A bit annoying for me that is. But is there something you all know or should I worry about ?

Your batteries are dying and the Jeep will be unable to start very soon.
ESS is a canary in the coal mine for battery failures and it's in full battery failure warning mode right now.

Replace both Main and Aux batteries regardless if one of them hasn't crossed the threshold into "bad" yet. They should always be replaced at the same time. They are linked and work as a pair.

BTW, you don’t need to buy fancy batteries.

The Mopar batteries that come from the factory and are sold by the dealer are garbage. I’d stay away from those.

The direct replacement batteries from O’Reillys or Auto Zone are more than sufficient.

Good luck.

And ^ this. :)

You'd be hard pressed to find batteries that are worse than Mopar OEM.

In fairness, the search feature isn't very good here. I actually get better results jumping over to Google and searching this forum from there.
I do the same !

They are notoriously bad, it’s kinda a crap shoot if you make it one year or three. I’m about to hit three years on my OEM and count myself incredibly lucky, they’ll be replaced next month either way

I’m so surprised about this. One year old AGM battery ?
Unfortunately yes.
It's a combination of the OEM batteries ranging in quality from garbage to mediocre, and the JL always-on electronics being hard on AGM batteries.

Short battery lifespan is especially common if the JL is often parked for days between uses or only used for very short drives. To the point where many who do not DD their Jeep install a built-in trickle charger to plug in while it's parked in a garage or install a hood solar panel if it's parked outdoors.

I use it everyday that’s why I’m surprised and I have only installed 2 lights. Which I badly use unless necessary
