I took my Jeep to the dealer (on 7/3) thinking I needed to have my batteries serviced after it sitting for 3 months there for a transmission replacement. Turns out it's a pending cylinder 6 misfiring code that is causing the auto start/stop light.

Anyone else have this issue and it just being the spark plug? I decided to wait until after the holiday weekend to have it diagnosed on Monday since it'll take a while. It sucks just getting it back and now having to take it in again for more diagnostic testing. I'm pretty sick of this jeep now.

Couple of weeks ago I had my jl sport s at the dealership for a cylinder 4 misfire code. Turns out it was a coolant leak causing it. But anything that limits the engines ability to start under normal conditions will trigger the start/stop light.

Don’t hate the Jeep for sitting three months, hate the new business model of zero parts inventory.

It took over 6 months for me to get a R/F ABS wheel speed sensor for my RV that uses a 2023 Ford F53 chassis. The wheel speed sensor isn’t exotic nor unique and the one I needed is used on the F250 and up.

6 months.

Worse, it was certain to have taken longer if my son wasn’t a technician at a Ford dealership. I know the factory is still pumping out F53’s and Jeeps so the well used line that they’re short on parts is pure bovine excrement. Post sales support has become secondary to bragging about production numbers. And to think those CEO’s get paid millions to make the spreadsheet look good instead of the company…..

Sorry for the rant, as others have said certain codes disable ESS.

Had a similar issue - mine was a faulty O2 sensor.
