Maybe I’m here for some REAL technical answers not dumb ones
maybe if you learn to relax and not come off as a tool when someone makes a joke, you'd get better responses, but hey, whatever floats your boat

Unplug the door from harness, connect seat belt, and try again. This will eliminate all of the conditions that could cause the failure.

I know this issue is frustrating... Wise ass comments to you don't help any.

I encourage you to just ignore the off the wall Facebook group type comments..

As I mentioned this may need troubleshooting by a dealership Tech, since you say it just started to happen and continues to be an issue.

Consider, before taking to the dealership, carefully unhooking the driver's side door harness and then plugging it back in very carefully. Do this say 3 times in a row.. See if doing this has a positive impact.... corrects the issue.

Could be a contact issue....moisture or whatever in regard to the door harness connection that is causing the JL to not recognize the door so to speak.

Was typing my wordy reply to the OP, when you posted your reply.

You see as I do ... I mentioned earlier in this thread, that it could be door harness connection related.

Hopefully, the OP will do as we both have suggested and focus a bit on the door harness. If that doesn't get it done by then he'll need dealership Tech to test...to remedy.

I forgot to fasten my seatbelt once and the chime reminder wouldn’t stop ringing until I belted up.
My F350 does the same.
At what point does the chime reminder drive you nuts or does it eventually stop?

It’s just the driver side door that will affect this correct

Ok I will try that in a minute. If not it’s gonna go to the dealer. Maybe there’s a software problem

I second the advice to examine and reinstall the dvr side door harness, as a bent pin on mine caused the exact same fault as what the OP is experiencing. If that does not help then a trip to the dealer is the only way to fix the issue.

FYI, if you're ever stuck and have to winch yourself out while standing outside the Jeep with a remote control, have the Jeep in neutral AND buckle the dvr seatbelt or it will auto park and you'll end up digging a 20' set of ruts with the rear wheels. Don't ask how I know this.
